Lake Placid, New York
Experience the best of both worlds in the beautiful Adirondacks. This lovely home is located between Lake Placid and Mirror Lake in the Olympic Village of Lake Placid, NY. An easy walk to shops, fabulous restaurants, and the Palace movie theater, this getaway is nestled in a grove of pine and birch trees. A short stroll down the hill brings you to the Lake Placid Marina (0.3 mi.), where boat rentals are available to explore this 2,173 acre glacial lake. Dock at Whiteface landing, at the foot of the Olympic mountain, and enjoy swimming and a picnic. Also, a public boat ramp is nearby (0.2 mi.), as well as access to the Jackrabbit and Peninsula hiking trails. The home offers an open floor plan, and the kitchen is at the heart of the action with all the latest (Don't people always end up in the kitchen ) in amenities, and large windows so you can appreciate the wooded setting. There is a fireplace, and a lovely screened in porch.

Very clean, modern, fully-outfitted and comfortable home on private road 3 minutes walk to Lake Placid, NY. SUPERB property and host.
Beautiful home in a very convenient location. Owner was very easy to work with.
Our family spent the week at this beautiful home. It was perfect for our large family. The open concept allowed us to spend quality time together, and it is within walking distance of downtown Lake Placid, a lovely town to explore. There were many homes to choose from in the area, but I am so happy that we chose to stay here! Highly recommend!!!
Casa Cayuga was exactly what we were looking for… quiet, close to Main St, pet friendly and beautiful! As a frequent visitor to Lake Placid, I would highly recommend.
We loved Casa Cayuga. The location is perfect - quiet but an easy, short walk to Main Street. If the house was available for our next trip to Lake Placid I would definitely book Casa Cayuga.
This was my second stay at Casa Cayuga. My wife and a couple friends came up for Ironman. Needless to say, I love this house and Lake Placid. The house is clean and well maintained. The owners provide excellent instructions on everything in the home. There is plenty of space in the house and a big garage to store our bikes. There is an awesome screen porch, which became our favorite room to hang out. The house is in a great location. You can get to the grocery stores and Placid Planet without needing to drive through town. It's a five minute walk to main street and ten minutes to the Oval. We will definitely stay here again.
Issues: House was not fully equipped. There was only supplied one and a half rolls of paper towels. The house had hardened dish washer poeder and maybe 20 napkins. We purchased all the above to get through the week. My family all left after 4 days which the supplied items lasted only two of their 4 days. Safety: The lower rear doors to the outside would not lock. The bunkbed rooms for the kids are in this area which was concerning but the parents to the kids stayed in the lower level so it worked out. It would have been all okay until the owner accused us of breaking (I quote) a 'driftwood piece of wall art that had sentimental value' then charged me $125 of my deposit for this item. No receipt from his original purchase so apparently driftwood is worth quite a bit. The problem is we did not break it for he found it on the floor in the living room the day my wife and I left. As I stated everyone was gone 2 days prior so we 60 Plus year old couple broke this sentimental driftwood art and just left it on the floor the morning we left. I have filed a dispute with VRBO and am not expecting much from them. As a retired police officer and military family we believe in honor and honesty. I have no reason to lie over a sentimental piece of driftwood art that seems to be valued at $125. I do recommend the home for a family get together. It was comfortable and a good size. I further rec. you make the owner show up the morning you leave for review of property or else...
This home is such a gem! The location is ideal for anyone visiting Lake Placid. The house sits within walking distance to all of the fun shops and restaurants on Mirror Lake, but also happens to be at the end of a wooded culdesac where you'll have lots of privacy. It was incredibly clean and well appointed. You can tell that the owners love this place. The home set up is wonderful for multiple families - with lots of rooms/beds and a great common spaces. We really loved the screened in porch! The best part is that it is pet friendly! So we were able to keep our whole family together.
It's an amazing place to stay. Such a nice walk to the lake.
We had a wonderful time. The space was perfect for our family. Lots of room for everyone including our dogs. We can’t thank the owners enough for allowing us to bring our 12yr old retriever. A beautiful spot!
Very beautiful, well appointed house. Roger was fantastic about answering my questions and making local recommendations. House is perfectly set up for adults and kids and large groups. We enjoyed a fire in the fantastic fireplace every night. Very close to downtown Lake Placid and only 15-20 minutes from Whiteface. Beds were comfy and lots of amenities with the house. We had a small issue with ants downstairs and the appliances were a little wonky. But we really enjoyed the home and the location.
Our 9th trip to Lake Placid with friends for the Empire State Winter Games. Just as described, very well equipped and clean. Walking distance to town was a perfect location. Would definitely stay again. Brian C.
The property exceeded our expectations. Comfortable and spacious for our large family.
Wonderful Property! Clean, spacious, great fireplace, and the house is stocked with anything you could need. Kids and adults and dogs all had a fabulous time!
This property was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The owner was very polite and kind. Plenty of room with gorgeous large windows to make it bright and homey. Thank you Roger for sharing your beautiful home with my family. We hope to return again ❤️
We rented this house for a family and reunion and couldn't have been happier with our choice. It's a short walk to both lakes (Mirror and Lake Placid) and an easy walk downtown to restaurants, bars, and shops. The property itself is beautiful and feels secluded. Would rent again!
Welcoming, spacious, and immaculate, this home is in a quiet, beautiful setting. We were able to walk into town. The owner is pleasant and gracious.
Beautiful home. Owner was super easy to work with.
Beautiful home in nice secluded neighborhood and close to downtown. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of linens. A few of the beds could have new mattresses. Would definitely come back again.
We stayed at the home in July 2022 for IRONMAN Lake Placid and so happy with the size, layout, and amenities available at the house. There was nothing lacking! The location of the home to downtown, to the beach, and to the IRONMAN transition site was very convenient. Thank you for letting us into your vacation home!
Stay was very enjoyable and relaxing! Everything was as described, house was very neat and clean as expected. Very close walk into the village which was nice! All aspects of the experience went smoothly.
Beautiful house in a great location. Would definitely rent again.
This house is beautiful & it by far surpassed our expectations. It is equipped with everything you need and is perfect for families wanting to spend some quality time in lake placid. We were a group of 7 and everyone couldn’t stop saying how perfect this home was for our trip. The house was also so close to everything and still very quiet. We seriously can’t wait to rent again! Ty for such a memorable stay!
