When we remodeled the kitchen we thought about the extended families (including our own) who enjoy staying and cooking at Tree House. The island with vegetable prep sink and stools for chatting with the cook, stainless appliances, large dining tables both indoors and out--all make it easy to center your social life around meals. The den, living room, and family room in different parts of the house also work well for various family arrangements, so you can chat, play games, watch different movies at the same time. Of course there are plenty of places to eat out or watch the latest movies on the big screen if that fits your wishes. And you'll find numerous places to take walks, enjoy the beach, go to the islands for the day, browse for antiques.
Our guests enjoy sitting, fishing, swimming, and boating from the dock. Like many fresh-water ponds on the Cape, and in the northeast overall, sometimes ours has some algae, and on those occasions, you might choose to swim elsewhere. The views are always amazing. Bring or rent a kayak, paddle board, or canoe to enjoy the pond from many angles.
Very nice property, peaceful surroundings. Everything as described. We enjoyed our stay.
The good: We enjoyed our stay. Outdoor spaces were peaceful and quiet. Detached office was a nice place to work. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Upstairs bedrooms and bath were comfortable. Spacious dining and living areas for our large group to spread out. The books were a big hit with the fantasy fans of our group. The not-so-good: Downstairs bedroom only had one twin bed (two are shown in listing photo). Downstairs shower leaks.
Beautiful property overall. Plenty of space inside and it was nice relaxing on the deck overlooking the pond. Had everything we needed for grilling and dining. Access to an use of the dock made for a great weekend fishing the pond.
We had an amazing Fall week in October. The lake views are amazing. The street is calm and peaceful. The house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need.
We loved the house. The kids enjoyed it immensely
The view and setting were lovely. Living space on the main floor was clean and very nice. Well stocked kitchen, large table for meals, plenty of space to spread out. Problem was the musty odor. The entrance hall and second floor were tolerable once we closed the house up and ran the ac, lower level rooms were really bad. Visible mold on the lower bathroom door frame. Small back bedroom was particularly bad. Three quests had reactions to the mold. Queen Mattress in the lower bedroom needs replacing. Twin mattresses in the second level bedroom were also bad. No hand soap supplied for the lower bathroom. We enjoyed the deck and launched our kayak from the dock for a nice paddle around the pond. A mixed experience stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house and spot on the pond were beautiful. We rented kayaks and paddle boards and had them delivered to use on the pond which worked perfectly. The house worked great for our family.
This home is truly even better than the pictures. Upon arrival, walking out to the back to see the view of the pond is truly stunning. The deck is large and can accommodate a large group for lounging or dining. The house was a perfect size for our group of 9, and was very comfortable for our stay. Fully stocked kitchen, plus great communication prior to arrival with all the information we would need during our stay. Thank you for making our weekend memorable at your home!
The house was great. Plenty of room. The kitchen really did have everything anyone could need, so we did not have to bring much. The view is amazing and the neighborhood is great for walks. The communication with the owner was flawless, she was very responsive. The one draw back was that the lake was closed for swimming, which is what we really looked forward to. But beaches are plenty at the Cape, so we adjusted our plans accordingly.
Treehouse fit us almost perfectly: size, number of rooms, layout, well-stocked, of course the deck and beautiful, peaceful pond, and location on Cape Cod which we loved. The only downside was the mustiness of the downstairs bedrooms which would keep some in the family from wanting a return trip, and the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable for some. Overall, .lovely and memorable and much appreciated.
