Enchanted Forest Cottage w/ Hot Tub!

Cozy place to stay. The driveway is extremely steep, so if you have a 4WD vehicle that’s definitely recommended. The AC wasn’t very cool either so the house was always a little humid and a little uncomfortable, but other than those two things, it was fine!

We loved staying in this cozy forest cottage in a private setting. It was very clean, well appointed and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub after a hard day of hiking the mountains.Bettye was a great host.We would definitely go back.

The overall experience was almost perfect. What I mean is the property and all it had to offer was spot on. But the property manager called my wife & I to alert us that we could check-in earlier than 4 and were happy.we were approximately 60 min. away according to our GPS. The manager stated the GPS directions wouldn't be accurate. We listened and the property manager to gave us some bad direction to her property. Such as look 3 fir trees in front of apartments, go across a bridge and turn-left . lets stop here! do you know how many fir trees are on route 76. we had to stop at a gas station on 76 and get much better clear cut direction from a local citizen who lived in the area. If the manager finds a way to provide better direction the whole experience would've been perfect from the start until the end but being loss an hr away from our destination due to unclear directions by the manager isn't a great way to start. thanks

We had a wonderful time at Forrest Cottage! The house was very clean and just as pictured. It was just a short walk to the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and dishes needed for all meals. The king bed was comfortable. The hot tub was one of the cleanest we have seen at a rental home with no mildew smell that most seem to have. Bettye was the best host ever! She called the day we were leaving to give us directions and called to make sure our stay was going well. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to return.

Second time staying here, this time for our 44th anniversary, love the house and hot tub. Our host is always accommodating and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place if you are in Hiawasee.

Spent several days at this cabin before Thanksgiving. We arrived late, got a little lost, but once we were there we felt right at home. The cabin was very clean inside and had all the amenities we were accustomed too. The beds are very comfortable. My son enjoyed having the upstairs to play. The air hockey table was a bonus. The screened in porch was very relaxing. The cabin is a short drive off of the highway, but the drive up to the house is steep- not a negative, but be prepared. Bettye is an excellent host and we would definitely stay at this cabin again.

We loved the house. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle!! The owner was great and checked in with us before the arrival time to make sure we had a good idea of how to get there. She was always available for any questions we had.

We had a great time here. Everything was super clean and neat. Lots of games. Everything you need to cook. The hot tub was super clean. We loved it and hope to be back again!

This house was great for a first trip with our grandkids and 2 dogs, the hot tube was a great. I think the best part was having contact with the manager before and after, and knowing everything was ready and waiting on us! If we get to go back I will being staying here again.

Our stay was fantastic. The home was quiet, super comfortable, and spotless. The screened porch is fantastic. We spent most of our time relaxing on it and listening to the rain. It is just a short drive from all the local activities—the lake, hiking, restaurants, grocery store, etc. Bettye was a delight and was incredibly responsive when we had questions. We can't wait to visit again!

Very clean and comfortable cottage. Our kids enjoyed the air hockey table and having the loft to themselves! The adults enjoyed the hot tub several times a day! Host provides towels for hot tub use which was great since we didn’t have extras with us. Secluded yet close enough to town if you want to go out. Beds were comfortable. We will likely stay here again in the future!
