Great location - quiet neighborhood. Well appointed kitchen. Plenty of space for our family of 6
We had a wonderful week of activities. The kayaks and paddleboards are so convenient, swimming and water access is excellent, house was comfortable for all ages and well located for the area. Thank you! Cynthia Parker
My whole family (myself, my spouse, children, parents, and my grandmother) stayed at this property for our annual family vacation by the lake. It was our second time renting this house and it was once again wonderful! Very clean, beautifully maintained property, and the perfect deck, yard, and beach area for spending lots of time outdoors. Great amenities and a very responsive property manager if there are any issues that come up. Highly recommend a stay here!
Our family had a wonderful vacation on Elk Lake at Suncrest with six adults and two toddlers. This home was fully equipped for cooking, swimming, boating (rented a boat) and relaxing. The location couldn’t be better! We wish we had spent more time relaxing at the home. Thank you for a great vacation.
My whole family rented this property for a family vacation and it was perfect! The location was fantastic- close to both Elk Rapids and Traverse City, as well as close to access to Torch Lake for boating (we love the sandbar!). The house was clean, tidy, and spacious, and the views of the lake from almost every room were icing on the cake. The check-in process was easy, and the stay in general was seamless. We loved it so much that we have already booked our stay for our vacation again next summer!
We so enjoyed our stay at this lovely home on a beautiful Elk Lake location. Well equipped and comfortable, both indoors and out, it is an easy drive to Elk Rapids as well, perfect!
We love staying at this beautiful home! Everything was clean and fully stocked with dishes and pans! We hope to come back soon! Thank you
Nice location right on Elk Lake with close access to Torch Lake by boat. Beach area is very nice for swimming and pretty much everything you need is provided including towels, life jackets, kayaks, and bicycles. Plus plenty of dishes in the kitchen. The only thing missing was a hair dryer and a nice frying pan.
Wow - great place - highly recommend!!! We stayed for a week at the end of July 2020 . . . worked out perfectly. I won't spend much time on talking the lake - if you've never spent time on Torch Lake or Elk Lake - don't wait - always amazing . . . and this is a great location on Elk lake . . . launch is about 1 mile south, as well as a great sandbar to anchor, and just a short trip straight east over to the river to get to Torch. The pictures of the house and yard do not do it justice . . so nice. The backyard is perfect - good area for some yard games, terrific fire pit area, walk in area to clear, sandy bottom lake . . . dock with a platform to catch some rays and hang in the sun, as well as tie up boat for quick breaks from the lake. Several areas on deck to relax and take in the views . . . not to mention, beautiful gardens - nice work!!! The outdoor area had everything you would want - kayaks and life jackets provided . . . in great shape and kids loved to paddle. The inside of the house was perfect. We traveled with 2 families . . . my family and my brother's family . . . so we had a range of ages and interests. The house is set up well with several areas for the crew to hang and share time, but also retreat for some breaks for the action and find personal space. My younger tween age kids loved the bonus room over the garage (picture w/ TV and couches) . . . was their personal entertainment area for the week . . . was a bonus for everyone! The kitchen area is set up so well for the typical kitchen socializing . . . lots of space to prep, drink, chat, eat . . .and several areas to dine (which we did more at home per the COVID situation). The house has all the items you need, and all are in great shape and well taken care of. The previous statement applies to property as a whole . . . very clean, well taken care of - very much the comfort of home . . . versus a worn-out rental. Location is great - about 15-20 min to Traverse, about 10-15 to Elk Rapids. We had a great trip . . . thank you for sharing your home . . . we certainly left with some great memories!
This is a lovely home and location. We took advantage of the swimming area, boat dock, kayaks, life vests, fire pit, lawn chairs and yard. Those were absolutely wonderful. The chain of lakes is glorious and sunrise on the lake should not be missed. The kitchen was large enough for 8 cooks at once and the dining room big enough for all of us. There were a couple of very minor issues: not enough kitchen towels (there were 8 of us), so constant laundering. There was onlu 1/4 cup of laundry soap provided (had to go purchase some), towels that were stored in cabinets slightly damp and left with a mildewy smell (had to launder), kitchen drawers and cabinets were well stocked but in disarray and several were dirty. There was a screen door in the dining room with small holes and the first couple of nights our dinners were plagued with small bugs until we figured it out and kept the dining room door closed. One of the property contacts (male) was not at all understanding of our concerns about Covid 19 and there was no understanding of a revised cancellation policy should it be needed. Overall, our stay was great with only minor problems, which can easily be remedied. One item to be clarified would be that the bonus room on the second floor is up a completely separate staircase and doesn't connect to the rest of the second floor. We had planned to have the 4 year old sleep in the bonus room on a mattress, but it was too far from the rest of the sleeping household. We bought a child-sized mattress and she ended up sleeping next to her parents, which was crowded. The owners provided a full twin size mattress for her (very nice), but it didn't fit in the same bedroom as her parents. I hope you will clarify the 2nd floor situation in your listing. Overall, a nice home for a family vacation.
