Beautiful sunsets over the lake! The host was helpful with a few questions we had and the property was clean. It is an older home but nicely updated. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment but bring everything you need otherwise. The only things provided were salt, pepper, spices and olive oil. There are no condiments or coffee, etc. We very much enjoyed our time here. Thank you to the hosts.

Overall a great stay! We loved it and would go back again. Only problem was a neighbor who was angry about the placement of the dock and therefore will continue to harass the renters. There is not any room to dock a pontoon without impeding in his area. Legally water is not owned but still uncomfortable to deal with. Also, boating to sandbar in Torch is much longer than 20 minutes. Still absolutely worth it but definitely a much longer boat ride.

The location was the perfect quiet spot on the lake. We loved our stay here! The only downside was a water issue at the house causing the hot water to smell like rotten eggs. The owners were in the process of repairing it, but it made for some pretty unpleasant showers.

The Elk Edge property was a perfect getaway for our two weekends at the Traverse City Horse Show. The proximity to Flintfields was super convenient. The property was beautiful, extremely clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. I am very particular about staying places and Elk Edge was very comfortable and felt like home. Watching the sunset on the lake and then sitting by the campfire was a perfect way to end a long day at the show. There are lots of deer around the lake area, which was also a special treat to see. The owners were very responsive if we had any questions and were great to work with. Would definitely love to visit again.
