This home was very nice and in a super quite neighborhood. The hot tub was a huge plus! We also enjoyed the extra large couch, it was very comfy and was amazing for our large family to watch movies. Our kids loved the room with the bunk beds and we loved the toys hidden in the closet and the many kid books and games we found. Well done!
We really enjoyed our two week stay at the property. It’s a very convenient location and very comfortable for a large group of people. Our only concern was that the property needs a little care. All the screens and all the windows and doors have holes in them. Several of the windows will not stay open and the screens fall off their tracks. The lighting is very poor throughout the downstairs area. The outside television, all those shown in pictures, does not work. Keep in mind, there is no access to the washer and dryer at the property. This can be very inconvenient for a long stay. Otherwise, I would recommend this property for a large group of people.
The kitchen was updated and very well stocked with new appliances, utensils and cookware. Sometimes when you rent property in Big Bear, there's a shortage of trash bags, paper towels and basic things. Not the case here. They gave us plenty, which was wonderful. There is a normal drip coffee machine and a keurig, but if you plan to use the latter, bring your own since there weren't any supplies for it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I chose this property because it had the perfect sleeping setup for our family vacay. It slept 7 adults, 1 teen, 1 pre-teen and 1 toddler very comfortably. The couch is comfy too. One of the parents were relegated to the couch by an angsty teen. There are three bathrooms, but only two have showers, one of which was in the master bedroom. So there's a bit of coordination needed, but no big deal for a two night stay. There are some toys in the kid room that are fun for a toddler. Lots of boardgames, though some pieces were missing. The bathroom in the master bedroom probably could use an update. The other bathroom with the shower was nice. Had a towel heater that was nice for our winter stay. There is a barbeque and a hot tub. Backyard was big enough for frolicking in the snow and building a lumpy snowman. My only suggestion is the lighting in the kitchen and living room. Once the sun goes down, it's pretty dark. It could use some additional lamps throughout the first floor, which is where the family gathers and hangs out. Hard to play games when you can't see. :) Other than that, the place was perfect. Close enough to stores so you could probably walk if your purchase is small enough. Easy 5 min drive if you don't want to test your lungs against the thin mountain air. I'd stay again. Quick note! Big Bear Destination check-in is pretty close, so not a big deal going there first. When you check out, I was told I could just leave, but it felt weird just leaving so I just texted them using the number they were texting me with. The check-out instructions didn't mention that, but like I said - it felt weird just to leave, but that's just me.
I had an amazing time in big bear for my birthday in 52 years never been
