INCLUDED WITH YOUR VACATION HOME:
The property will be stocked with an initial supply of trash bags, paper towels, kitchen sponges, hand soap, dish soap, and toilet paper. The property is equipped with a specific quantity of bath and pool towels to accommodate the max occupancy of the home. The bathrooms are stocked with shampoo and conditioner. There are also fully equipped laundry rooms with a washer, dryer, and iron.

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT INCLUDED: cooking oil, sprays, foil, plastic wrap or other cooking ingredients.

Guests have access to Puerta Azul's amenities including the Olympic size swimming pools, tennis courts, BBQ area, and clubhouse (pool table, ping pong, gym, and more). There are two large swimming pools (shared) with jacuzzies in the community. Both are within walking distance (a few minutes) from the property. There is a small, 1-car garage that guests are welcome to use (larger vehicles may not fit) as well as unassigned spaces along the street.

We are minutes from PGA West with five public courses to choose from, as well as SilverRock Resort, an Arnold Palmer Classic Course, another terrific local option. In January, you can walk to the Stadium course to watch the pros play in The American Express Golf Tournament.

Tennis fans - in March, you'll be minutes away from the 5th largest tennis tournament in the world, the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, which draws the top-rated men and women tennis players in the world.

Tennis and pickleball players - the Fritz Burns park is 10 minutes away with 6 tennis courts and 8 pickleball courts lit and open from Dawn until 10 pm.

Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festivals are the main attractions in April, both taking place at the famous Empire Polo Grounds.

Close by is the famous El Paseo and Old Town La Quinta areas with excellent dining and shopping options.

Ralph's is the closest supermarket, about 10 minutes away, and Trader Joe's is also nearby. Highway 111 is the home to Costco, Target, Coffee Bean, and Starbucks, among many local favorite restaurants and shopping. Less than 15 minutes from the I-10, you can quickly head to Palm Springs, nearby casinos, Joshua Tree National Park, and other Coachella Valley destinations.

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out is at 10 a.m. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for your reservation.

WILL I NEED TO MEET THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO GET A KEY
Our homes are keyless entry, we issue a “code” rather than a physical key. The code changes for every reservation so it is an incredibly safe alternative. By issuing the code prior to arrival, the check-in process is much easier.

WHAT ARE THE POOL HOURS ARE THEY HEATED
Puerta Azul community: The two community pools are heated year-round and are open 7 am – 11 pm. Homes with a private pool & jacuzzi can be heated for an additional fee. Check individual listing for info.

DO YOU ALLOW PETS
Certain non-shedding hypoallergenic dogs will be considered at an additional fee. Service animals are permitted, and the fee is waived for such situations (however the animal is never permitted to be in the unit alone if it is a service animal). Please note we do not allow any pets other than dogs.

SMOKING POLICY
​​​​​​​Smoking is allowed in outdoor areas only. No smoking is permitted inside the home or near doors, windows, or any interior spaces. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly. Any smoking violations may result in additional fines, extra cleaning charges, and potential loss of security deposit.

Puerta Azul Community Rules:
1) The City of La Quinta & Puerta Azul has a quiet hour ordinance (10 pm – 8 am).
2) No more than 2 vehicles per home unit may be parked on the street at any time during the hours of 12 am – 7 am.
3) No trailer, camper, mobile home, commercial vehicle, truck (other than a standard-size pick-up truck), boat, or inoperable vehicle will be allowed in the community.

House Notes: During the hot summer nights, it's possible to encounter some gentle insects such as crickets, etc.. Rest assured, our property undergoes regular pest control treatments, though a few may still make an appearance. To ensure the upkeep of our surroundings, our diligent pool maintenance and landscaping team may visit the property during the week for service. Your comfort is importance, and we strive to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for your stay.

We've installed a security camera outside, facing the front entrance (placed on the door), to ensure safety during your stay. Additionally, there's a noise monitoring device in the living room to ensure compliance with local noise ordinances during quiet hours.

    We loved the privacy and quietness of the neighborhood. So serene. The house was perfect and the patio very inviting. Everyone is so nice and we enjoyed swimming and the jacuzzi tub. Kitchen was well equipped the living space well designed.

    We enjoyed the home. Perfect for our family of 4. Communication was super easy, even brought us a wine opener within 10 minutes of asking. The garage is a little tight to park in but no worries, there are some spaces on the street steps away from the front door. Pools were awesome, the kids really enjoyed the stay. We’d book again.

    The dishwasher didn't work, the gas for the grill outside was difficult to find and get at. The bed sheets in the master were a joke, paper thin and wouldn't stay on the mattress. The garage door has a mind of its own....not our most memorable accommodation

    We stayed at this property for three weeks in January 2023. The home is quite lovely, and freshly painted. Situated very close to one of the two beautiful community pools, it was perfectly situated for our needs. The layout was thoughtful in design, especially if you had four people, as each bedroom had privacy. The home also had ample space when we had two to four friends over for dinner. The kitchen is adequately stocked with everything we needed, and the BBQ worked well. The backyard space is quiet, and private,, as is the entire neighborhood. The landscaping is well maintained., and the streets and grounds are nice to walk. The home has lots of natural light in all rooms, which is wonderful. For us, however, we like dark rooms when sleeping…..so we bought paper blackout shades at Home Depot. Worked great. The one car garage is a challenge to use if you have a larger car or smaller SUV, as it is at sharp angle, but we got used to it. You might want to pull in your side mirrors. The property also has two additional parking permits available, which was handy when we had our friends visit. Since we are golfers, being located right next to the PGA West courses, plus dozens of other courses within a 15 minute drive, is fabulous. Finally, the property manager was very efficient and quick to handle the few issues we had, which is always very important for a guest. We would stay at this property again.
