The property was terrific the only thing I didn't like we had a (10) guests staying there and there was only (8) dinner plates and (8) dinner forks that makes it difficult to eat together also there was only (9) chairs inside for eating as well . The house was clean and the floor plan was amazing looking forward to staying again
We loved our stay at the Sea Ranch. Amazing views with great beach access. House had everything we needed. We stayed with our three teenage boys and parent in-laws and was enjoyed by all 3 generations! Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Our week at this lovely beachfront home was perfectly relaxing and serenely ideal. The property owner was very responsive whenever we had a question and we thoroughly enjoyed our time
The house has it all! It was spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, and the location is fantastic. We were all in heaven, sitting on the deck, swimming at high tide, and exploring the sand bars and tide pools at low tide. Perfect for our multi-generational family that includes small children. We walked on the beach, played in the sand, and sat on the deck morning and evening. Check in was easy and the hosts responded quickly to our inquiries. Only quibble: the kitchen could use more plates, coffee mugs and glassware. Other than that, it was perfect in every way. We'd love to return.
We had a lovely time and the house was perfectly situated
We all love the spacious house and lovely deck. Our stay was very enjoyable and we would rent again.
3 generations enjoyed everything about the beach house ! The house having 5 bedrooms and three bathrooms gave us plenty of room for the 10 of us . The house has a wonderful porch off the back with an enclosed portion so you can be out of the sun and rain if need be ! Four of the bedrooms have balconies , two over look the water. It will always be a treasured memory !
Perfect if you are looking to wake up and fall asleep right on the LI sound. Clean and open house plan, lots of room.
The cottage is clean and spacious. Roseanne is the agent/owner who is easy to work with and she responded very quickly to a few minor problems that arose during our stay. I think the best I can say is that we've booked the same weeks for 2018!
The house is renovated due to Sandy and the outdoor deck is large leading directly to the beach which is great. The host Roseanne is nice and mostly helpful but gave misinformation right off the bat... Was nice to be able to check in a few hours early because no one had it booked before us, thank you again for that. However, one of the first things I checked was that there was propane for the grill. There was an empty tank next to the grill and when I asked about getting more Roseanne tried to say that was my responsibility to get more and cover the cost. Absolutely not, the rental details says it comes with the grill -- that should include the propane too! She called the owner (her family member) and they agreed to reimburse the cost. Second, NOTE: there's a massive storage unit taking up two car spots in the driveway. She told me they were going to be having it removed that afternoon. That would've been nice especially since I had a number of people driving in for a birthday surprise party. 5pm rolls around and the unit was still there. Two unanswered calls and a couple unanswered texts to Roseanne later and i get a call from George Ganim's office explaining the unit isn't going anywhere because that's where the owners keep their own furniture for the house. It would have been nice to know when booking the rental and also not be misinformed that it would be moved. Playing car Tetris all weekend wasn't the most enjoyable experience. Once in the house things were clean and there was a ton of space. All 5 bedrooms are well sized. They do not supply any soap, shampoo/conditioner or extra toilet paper other than the half rolls already on the holder. They do supply enough towels for 8-10 people, however, so that was nice. There is an outdoor shower but when we turned it on it started leaking under the siding of the house and into the interior of the house. They may not have winterized the pipes. Upon inspection inside we found black mold on the walls next to the plumbing. Roseanne sent over their handyman who couldn't come and fix it until two days later and he didn't come until dinner time. Rather than ruin our dinner experience I told him to come back later that week after we left since we were checking out a day early anyway. Would've been a nice feature to use during our stay, however. Overall the house serves it's purpose well for hosting larger groups but it's clear the owners are trying to maximize profit via cost cutting.
