The space
There is one kind of flood we always seek out. A flood of natural light. This is what attracted us to this home that we'd love to share with you. For what is light if it isn't shared !
Our house is located in a tucked away neighborhood in the desirable Wheat Ridge area. The first thing you may notice outside as you approach, are the beautiful tree-lined streets and tons of rabbits! We are within walking distance of Johnson Park and that makes this a nature-wrapped neighborhood with an extremely convenient location.
Please be aware that the city is constructing a walkway that will go directly to Johnson Park and bike trails soon. While we are extremely excited about this, it also means the main road is seeing some construction, so please be careful as you drive in and out of the neighborhood. We recommend using 47th avenue to access Wadsworth Boulevard.
We love our neighbors and this quiet neighborhood. As such, it's important we share that this isn't a party house. While we'd love for you to have a beautiful vacation, we cannot allow head-banging, forget-the-world type of partying! We want every guest to feel relaxed when they enter our home and have designed the space to be that way. Our house is also not 420-friendly. Please respect our efforts.
As you may guess, we are inspired by nature. Living in Colorado, we have been witnesses to its grandeur and fragility. In a bid to practice smart, eco-friendly living, we have installed a central ducted evaporative cooler.
There are two thermostats in the house. One is for the cooler and the other for heat. The cooler thermostat shouldn't be set to a temperature lower than that on the heater thermostat. In that case, the systems will conflict with each other. For example, if the heat thermostat is set to 68F, the cooler thermostat shouldn't be set to 67F.
Since Colorado is a dry state, this cooler is extremely efficient and makes for a comfortable setting. We encourage you to set the evaporative cooler to your comfort setting and open a window or two to let the mountain air in. In addition, there is a window AC in the master BR should you need it.
Our brick ranch house offers plenty of space inside and outside. We ourselves feel torn wanting to spend time everywhere! When you enter, you will see the living room, which we hope is a space that is inspiring and relaxing at the same time. Big windows bring in plenty of natural light while the trees outside create a play of shadows and light.
The living room is done up with eclectic, vintage furniture and details that we hope will make you smile.
There are games and books for you to indulge in, an electric fireplace that inspires conversations, and a 55" television should you want to simply take it easy.
Next to the living area are the kitchen and dining areas. Both also receive plenty of natural light. The dining area is designed to be a fun and warm place that brings your group together over meals. We have a record player and vinyls for you to enjoy by the dining table.
The kitchen is spacious and airy and actually shows us what they mean when they say, 'the kitchen is the heart of the house'. Not only is it perfect to cook up meals, but also a great place for groups to hang out as you sip on drinks, share some laughs, and cook up something delicious. There is a bar counter with a couple of bar stools and the dining area flows into the kitchen making this space an informal gathering spot.
Not only is the kitchen beautiful to cook and hang out in, but one of our personal favorite things to do is to smell the coffee brewing early in the morning and watch from the window as the rabbits start their day early!
Outside the kitchen is a spacious deck and backyard. This is totally fenced in so you can be at ease while your kids and dogs explore this area. Please be sure to check that the backyard gate is latched!
We love spending time on the deck and enjoy most of our meals outside. There is a round table and chairs for dining and another seating area good for lounging. Turn on the patio lights in the evening and watch your own private outdoor dining and lounge area come to life! There is a BBQ grill and corn hole that we invite you to enjoy. Please be sure to read the instructions on the BBQ grill!
Back inside, there are 3 BRs and two bathrooms. All the BRs have closets and hangars for you to use and are equipped with Tuft and Needle mattresses.
The first BR, with a queen bed, also has a standing desk, office chair, and monitor so you can work easily. This BR overlooks the backyard. The second BR, also with a queen bed, and has wood paneling which give it a distinct mountain feel! The third BR is the master BR with a king bed. One side of this bedroom overlooks the backyard, while the other overlooks the front.
The master BR has an attached bathroom with a window that lets in, you guessed it, natural light! There is another bathroom near the other two BRs. It has a double vanity and a window to bring in the sunlight.
We also love dogs and have a comfortable dog bed in the entryway closet should you decide to bring yours along for a vacation! Please know that Airbnb doesn't allow hosts to add a daily pet fee rate. So, we have a flat fee based on the average number of days guests stay with us. The rate is $25 per pet, per night. Your rate will differ should you stay a longer or shorter duration.
If you are traveling with a little one who joins you at the dining table and you need a high chair, we have one for you in the master BR closet.
Our entire home has hardwood floors, which make it look stylish and warm at the same time. We always feel happy when we enter through the door and hope you will feel exactly the same.as systems will conflict with each other. For example, if the heat thermostat is set to 68F, the cooler shouldn't be set to 67F.
Guest access

Other things to note
We love pets and have a super mutt of our own! We are happy to accommodate dogs for a nighty pet fee of $25. Please note that the Airbnb setting only allows hosts to share a one-time fee in the listing. We have listed this as $120 based on the average number of nights guests stay with us. Your pet fee will vary should you stay fewer or longer number of days.
We want your pet to be as comfortable as possible too. So we have a dog bed in the entryway closet. Please feel free to use it.
