Treat yourself to our largest & most luxurious suite! The Ebony Rouge is beautifully furnished with a super comfortable KING SIZE bed & the finest linens! Plush rugs adorn the original hardwood floors & art decorates the shiplap wood walls. The bay window has a nice sitting area with a great view & custom made black out drapes! This suite includes a full bath with soaking tub & spray nozzle for old fashioned "sit down" shower. A separate quirky "shower closet" opens up into the bedroom. Although it is unconventional, many guests prefer a stand up shower so we were creative & added one.
Guests are encouraged to use all of the common areas which include the Grand Salon, Formal Dining Room, Hospitality Lobby, Kitchenette & the many sitting areas on the veranda. Mix and mingle or simply relax! There is plenty of space to enjoy at the Majestic Jewel!
Although we are not a B & B, we do offer guests self-serve coffee, tea, cold drinks, bottle water, oatmeal, milk & cereal PLUS an excellent environment to mix & mingle or simply relax!
Ebony Rouge in the Majestic Jewel Inn is an amazing place to stay for a memorable get away! Please view our photos & captions for more info. Check out our other suites, Ivory Pearl, Vintage Rose, Green With Envy & Autumn Moon!
This is a beautifully restored historic home that is convenient to the town. When we were there in March, there was no host on site. And the town was quiet. Restaurants were mostly closed on Sunday and Monday.
What an amazing time we had! This house is so cool. The suite we stayed in was so beautiful. Appalachacola is a step back in time. Staying here really sealed the deal. It was so clean and the bed slept great. The host June was so wonderful her gardening skills are to envy. She thought of everything from snacks to candy to the well set up coffee station. We will definitely be back soon!
Beautiful 1908 mansion, charming old Florida. It was very comfortable and relaxing to stay there. June and Greg are very friendly and welcoming, excellent hosts. They have thought of every convenience to make a wonderful stay.
Our room was large and beautiful. Also enjoyed the soaking tub and having two bathrooms. We very much enjoyed our stay. Thanks
It was very nice. Great location, plenty of room, 2 bathrooms, and nice people.
We loved our stay at the Majestic Jewel, our room Ebony rouge was amazing!! My wife loved the big tub! We love the history and like the old style decor. The home has some amazing wood work. The kitchen area had everything you could need, snacks, cereal, coffee, soda, water in a help yourself style. We walked to most places The Orman house, Raney house, John Gorrie museum, all the cool shops and drove to the light house on St. George Island. Wonderful dinner at the Franklin in the Gibson hotel. The owners were out of town June and Greg but we did meet Kevin great guy. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.
We stayed here for our second year in a row for our annual river trip and it was the perfect place! It’s very convenient to walk to the shops, restaurants, and bars and we had plenty of space to park the boat. The kitchen area has perfect grab and go breakfast/snacks and the porches were a great spot to sit and hang with our friends. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and Greg was a wonderful, helpful host!
What a wonderful place to visit!!!!!! Would definitely go back!
Great property, walking distance to restaurants and short car ride to the island with great beaches
Wonderful, historical. We enjoyed our week. Relaxed, rejuvenated and explored the area. We had a really comfortable space and alot of amenities. A beautiful place to stay! We could walk to taprooms, brewery etc.
We has such a wonderful time staying here. It was peaceful and relaxing. The room was great and the porches were heavenly! We plan to visit again and hopefully soon!
The house and room was amazing. The large soaking tub was a great addition. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait for our next visit.
We had a great weekend walking around Appalach enjoying the food, drinks, and atmosphere.
It was a long, cold, and miserable drive to Apalachacola. We were relieved to get there. Unfortunately when we got to the Majestic Jewel and arrived at our room, it was very cold. To their credit, they responded quickly to the issue and by the time we got back from dinner the room was a bit warmer. The room and accessories were beautiful and the linens were plush. We unpacked and settled down. We turned on the TV and what a mess. Most Cable or Satellite companies have guides that make it easy to find a program and channel. Not this one. The instructions in room guide are out dated. We could never figure out how to navigate the channels. They need to update this and make it easier to use. I was feeling dirty so I wanted to take a shower. The bathroom is beautiful and wonderfully appointed but the shower is not there. It is in the living area. Something that I could not get used to. I could not get the water hot. We asked them about it and they again responded quickly. It still took about 5 minutes to get warm water each day we were there. In both instances when we called, they responded quickly although we don't think that those issues should be issues. We thought when booking this property that it was a Bed and Breakfast. It's not. It is a beautiful room in a wonderful house. No breakfast in the traditional sense. They do leave cereal, milk etc. They could do some work to make the kitchen area feel less sterile and the outside side of the house more appealing. Lastly, this is the only 'B&B' that we did not meet the hosts. One of the charming aspects of a 'B&B' is meeting them. It creates the right kind of atmosphere.
We had a great time. My wife loved the tub.
The room (Ebony Rouge) was spacious and surprising it felt quite private despite being on the first floor. Lots of snacks and beverages available 24 hr. The bed was unbelievably comfortable.
