Stayed Jul 26, 2024We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our friend’s wedding. Emily’s house was great, beautiful, clean, comfortable beds, and had all the amenities we could ask for. It was the perfect location and loved having the lake access. My only complaint is the dock felt quite rickety, so just be careful on that. 10/10 would stay again!

Stayed Jun 25, 2024Had a wonderful week at the A-frame house at Five Mile Point on Skaneateles lake. The house sits on a hill overlooking the lake, about 100 yards from the lake’s edge. There’s a shared lake access dock and ‘beach’ area for guests. The house has been recently renovated with modern amenities, TVs on every floor, cooking utensils, outside grill, paddle boards, kayaks, Wi-Fi, everything you need. There’s a nice, elevated deck in the rear that we spent multiple hours in morning listening to songbirds while sipping on coffee (load the Merlin app to identify birds and calls). On a clear night, you are treated to an explosion of stars and can see the Milky Way with the naked eye. Load the SkyView app on your phone and explore the cosmos. The new owners have added some new landscaping, including a patio with picnic table and fire pit (with solar-powered lights that turn on when it gets dark). The host, Emily, could not have been more helpful. She quickly responded to every email or text and was a pleasure to deal with. Easily the best host I’ve dealt with on VRBO. My daughter made me promise that we would get the house for next year.
