BeachAxis, East & West: 10BR/10BA. Perfect location. Sleeps 36. Pool! Close to everything, especially the beach! Right across from Waves Grocery. Location. Location. Location!

This listing is for BOTH sides of the duplex together. Like having a 10 bedroom but with two of almost everything: kitchens, living rooms, more! Plus, a little bit of separation since even though you will be next door to each other, you won't all be in one place. When renting both sides, guests may unlock the connecting door on the deck to allow for access between the two sides without going up and down the stairs from the main entries.

This is one of my guests' favorite places. Lots of repeat visitors each year! Great price for a recently redone beachfront duplex. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. Full kitchen, living room, and laundry per side.

Beach Axis' deck is as close to the gulf as you can get in the area. Folks LOVE LOVE LOVE its gulf front decks! Most nearby units have their pool behind the homes, putting the pool between you and the beach. Not Beach Axis. Beach Axis' pool is streetside. Sit on the deck, enjoy the sunset, while most neighbors are behind you! How nice is that! The pool is private to the two sides of the duplex—not shared with any other home.

Please note that there ARE 5 bathrooms in each side. The main floor BR has a bath, there are then 2 baths on each of the remaining two levels. The mystery bath that people don't see in the virtual tour is BEHIND the entry door in the 3rd level (2nd living level) south bedroom. POOL
Big. Streetside. Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It's a big oval, 30x15x3-6'. Lounge chairs are provided around the pool.

WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home! That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests troubleshooting it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!

PARKING
There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for 4-6 cars per side if you use space under the home and stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this.

SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a starter supply of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well.

PETS
We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire.

    Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely Beach Axis home. It worked perfectly for us and we all talked about how you all must clearly care about it and things looked newly painted and very clean! We had a couple (very minor) issues and your team were on them immediately--even faster than we could have hoped for! The location was great. It was so nice to walk across the street to the store and to the restaurant (which was VERY good). Loved our time and would highly recommend you all to anyone. Thanks again!

    Property was well kept. The kitchen was well stocked with flatware, dishes, pots & pans, etc. It is close to the beach, but still a little walk away. We rented both east and west duplexes. The only way to go from one to the other is by going outside and through the balcony. We recommend that you add a door between the 2 units with a dead bolt on each side. That can be easily placed perpendicular to the front door. Also the dishwasher should be replaced on the east duplex.

    The trip went perfectly with no hiccups. Beach axis is a lovely home and we had a fantastic time. The location can't be beat. We are eyeballing a stay at Wit's End (a little more room for growing families) and will reach out directly if/when we decide to pull the trigger. Thank you!

    Host was very responsive. House was in great condition. We needed the door between the house unlocked because we had rented the entire house. We could not get it unlocked. Richard had his maintenance team to come get the door open for us. It made our stay a little nicer. My only complaint was that the house was not equipped with chairs, umbrellas or tents. We had to go buy our own and leave them at the property when we left. It's the first house we ever rented that didn't have those items available. Other than that we had a great time and would recommend! [? Thanks Amy! Happy to help with the interlocked doors on the deck. Glad everything was in great condition, and that you loved my Beach Axis! As mentioned in the listing (and the Bama Beach Houses FAQ and mailings), most places don't provide 'beach stuff' both because of how hard it is to keep up and because guests very frequently 'lost' it from the Leave Only Footprints guys, so we opt to not provide, though we don't remove things guests leave... and I do what you do... assess when there and just go get a few things if I really need it. Usually donating to the cause at the end. Again, thank YOU so much for staying in my place.     We had a wonderful trip. The home was perfect for us and we had lots of space to spread out. It was nice to have all the rooms but to also be a little separated too. We loved the pool being on the road side so we felt alone right on the beach when out back. Having the grocery and stores across the street was very convenient too!

    We were worried because of the hurricane in the fall but everything was in great shape for our stay. We had a very nice Thanksgiving on the beach. Thank you.
