Well equipped, nice space house great!
Our family group really enjoyed this spacious cabin w beautiful stone fireplace and amazingly equipped kitchen! We enjoyed the big kitchen table w 6 chairs & we supplemented for our extra person. The big deck faced the lake with 2 tables w 4 chairs each and there was a nice pier. There was an impressive supply of wood for the fireplace and a small metal fire burner w swing nearby. Communication before & after our stay was exceptiinal! We recommend this cabin!
Very nice with a lot of character.
Had plenty of room for all members of our family. Enjoyed using our kayaks on the lake. Got response on any questions I asked.
We have a group of 8 stay at this cabin for Hodag, it worked out super well. There was plenty of room for all of us. The only negative that we found during our stay is that the main floor bathroom could have been a little cleaner, there was hair left on the shower walls. Other than that we had a great time.
We had a wonderful time at the Chain Lake property. Everything was clean and inviting - the linens, kitchenware, decor, gaming area, fire pit, and lake access were tremendous! Holly, the property manager, not only kept a great line of communication open with the general rental details and the check-in and check-out process, she went above and beyond when we asked about nearby hiking trails and shops, and came through like a champ when our initial pontoon searches fell through. Special shout out to Dan Towne and his pontoon company for renting us an awesome pontoon for fishing, swimming, and boating on the 5 connected lakes: Dam, Sand, Stone, Echo, and Chain. A truly memorable experience- 5 stars!
Great place to stay. Plenty of room in driveway for 2 trucks and boats/trailers. Super clean, great pier. We had a great time.
Great
As we arrived to the cabin in the middle of August, we were greeted with a strong and pungent smell of must. It did not deter us as we were excited to be up north! While giving ourselves the grand tour, we found spider webs in the kitchen, which wouldn't normally bother me but they were attached from the cabinets to the counter tops. In the downstairs bedroom we found mouse turds underneath the night stand, but again, we were up north and wouldn't let it get to us. The cabin was adequately stocked with every day supplies which helped us as we forgot a few things. The rest of the stay was just fine until after we checked out as the host through additional charges at us for not putting a few chairs back into place, leaving a shoe tray inside rather than out and for leaving the TV remote in the couch cushions. We were told it took 2 cleaners an additional 2 hours to fix these issues and she would charge us accordingly. The host then wrote us a seperate message and accused us of smoking in the downstairs basement, which absolutely never happened, and treated me like a child saying she was very disappointed. My advice to guests that want to rent this property is to take a picture of all the furniture, chairs and grills to make sure they are 100% back in the same spot that you found them or you will incur an overcharged invoice from the host. Minus the host, this place was a beautiful retreat in the northwoods!
Clean and plenty of sleeping room. Enjoyed fire pit, backyard had plenty of room and no stairs to dock. Beautiful view of the lake. Enjoyed our stay.
This cabin was exactly what we envisioned, and it was extremely well appointed - 2 grills (gas and charcoal), tons of kitchen pots/pans/utensils, some basic cooking spices/etc. (we did LOTS of cooking/grilling), and even plenty of basic amenities (toothbrushes, etc.). Beds were very comfortable (main floor has 1 room w/queen & 1 w/2 twins, basement has room w/1 queen, and loft had a bunch of twins) and the water access is perfect! We were able to launch kayaks easily into the lake, which was perfect for kayaking (when not too windy) - very little boat traffic. There were even some fun board games to play. It is also only about 15 minutes from downtown Eagle River. I only knocked the cleanliness down one star as our only issue was that the basement toilet was leaking from the inlet valve, which didn't bother us - we just put a towel down, but you may want to make sure that was fixed. The place itself was immaculately clean. Overall, we loved our stay and Holly and her husband were amazingly helpful and welcoming as the management company. If you're looking for a fairly quiet extremely enjoyable cabin, this place was excellent.
We stayed for a week with 7 people. Plenty of space. Nice dock.
We had a great time with family and wished our time could have been extended. Fishing was great. Most done on the pier due to rough waters and storm chances. The Wildwood Wild Life Park never dissapoints and even enjoyed some mini gulf, shopping, and go karts in Minocqua. The beds were ok (nothing beats your own bed) but there were alot of hard pillows. (again, nothing beats your own). Enjoyed a bon fire as well. Thank for the R&R
Found property just as listed on VRBO. Had everything we needed except couldn't find a fly swatter. Swimming area had a few weeds the kids weren't to excited about but they still went swimming everyday. Overall a very nice stay with everything we needed. Would consider this property to visit again
Great location. Wonderful Host! Everyone had their own bed. Plenty of room at the dock for boats. Plenty of parking. All you need is your clothes and food. Fully equipped. Beautiful view! Bill S
