GOOD: very large roomy house with plenty of space for large group of people; game room with lots of game options; bedding and linens were decent; kitchen was fairly well equipped; more than enough seating for large group. BAD: Wasn’t as clean as compared to some other rentals…. mostly just dusty; no TV in any bed room; couldn’t get or figure out how to get any local tv channels; some remotes didn’t have batteries; several small repairs or maintenance issues are needed; HvAC worked good but it didn’t distribute the warm air evenly… some rooms got too hot in order to get some rooms warm.
We had a GREAT time at this house! I loved how the deer roamed through the property several times a day on the way to the neighbor's feeder. I could have watched them all day every day we were there. We really enjoyed the pool and the outdoor seating areas. We spent a lot of time outside, and those areas were perfect! We loved the upstairs game room, playing pool several times while we were there. Loved the group seating. The kitchen was great! And, we even used the dining table one night! I addressed the owner with a couple of small things and they did a great job of responding. Nothing really big to report that was negative. If anything, I would suggest a little bit of maintenance, but nothing that was a big deal. We would definitely go back to the house.
BEUTIFUL PLACE. REINDEER ALL AROUND. GREAT UPSTARIS PLAYROOM WITH POOL TABLE FOR ADULTS AND GAMES FOR KIDS. YOUNGER KIDS WOULD OF LOVED THE PLAYSCAPE WHICH COULDN'T ACCESS BECAUSE OF TONS OF STICKERS TO GET TO IT. WOULD OF ENJOYED THE HUGE JET TUBE IN UPSTAIRS MASTER, BUT JET DID NOT WORK. POOL WAS FABULOUS.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay. The pool was a huge perk! The house is very spacious and the land that the house is on is cool.
Could be a lovely property. The size, comfortable master and on-site offerings are great. Just needs a shining up of the windows, overall patio and pool deck. For 8 people, there were only 2 pool lounges. A culling and tidying of the kitchen inventory is needed too. The gate opening keypad didn't work most of the time.
The house was dirty upon arrival. There was a dirty rag in one of the showers and trash in the living room. No blankets to be found anywhere. 3 towed total in each bathroom. Property managers were great with assistance about the check in and a left behind handbag. However the property itself was unclean and run down.
The manor is generous in size and sits on a beautiful piece of property. The bedrooms all have their own bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the daily visits by the deer in the yard. The kitchen was well stocked. We had everything we needed. We were surprised to have a brewery & Salt Lick BBQ so close to the house. It was nice to be able to get out of the city, while still having amenities within a short drive. We would definitely return and stay again!
Nice, but I would suggest that an electronic eye be installed on the gate to prevent premature closing. When my mother was pulling through, the gate closed and bumped her car leaving a small scratch on the right rear fender.
The House was nice and large with plenty of room/bathrooms for our stay. Backyard patio was awesome. Kitchen had plenty of supplies except trashbags (only 1 provided). Only drawback was that it was older and could use a little updating. Regardless, we had a great time visiting the area's distilleries and wineries.
This house is on a nice quiet area. Big and spacious for all our guests. Near all fun activities from San Marcos to Austin which we did for our Labor day weekend. The only thing about the home I can say is that it needs a deep, deep cleaning. Carpet needs to be replaced, fresh paint and some décor needs updating like window curtains. Overall the home is nice for our short getaway.
Rented this place for a bday weekend for my 18 year old daughter. It’s great location with great scenery. House clean and would definitely book again and recommend.
Horrible communication waited one hour to be able to get access to the home we were supposed to check in at 4 PM we ended up going in at 5 PM they never answered my messages or my emails the host was never available to us
The house was nice, spacious inside and out. Great for outdoors with kids. I will say that I wouldn’t recommend the same house to anyone else nor go back myself. As spacious and all that it was the housekeeping sucked! The upstairs portion of the house was amazing, we loved the rooms, the game room and all except housekeeping didn’t clean the bathrooms thoroughly, there was stained towels and hair in the bathroom and tubs. The downstairs it almost seemed as if housekeeping didn’t do much at all. The blender had bugs in it, the sink smelled like fish, the drawer with utensils was a mess plus the silverware was dirty with dried up food on it. The pantry was dirty as well. Once again the house was nice but we didn’t leave as satisfied as we would want to be due to the cleanliness of things.
Beautiful hill country property. Great for family time.
