Stayed Aug 14, 2025This is an absolutely magical place that takes you back in time. It is beautifully kept, stunningly decorated, and amazingly peaceful. They have anything you could need during your stay and everything is so well done. My daughter and I stayed here for a gymnastics camp she had and I so enjoyed the serenity with a portal back in time. The history here has been so beautifully preserved. We will definitely be back next year.

Stayed May 23, 2025Great historical place to stay! We came to Crossville for a 90th birthday celebration. We all loved the history and antiques throughout the house. The events we came for took up most of our time but would have loved the yak tour and fresh eggs. The home is equipped with everything you might need. Lovely setting!

Stayed May 9, 2025We were in Crossville for a graduation and needed room for six people. This was the perfect place for us. The beds are comfortable. There is room to sit and visit both indoors and outdoors. It was nice and clean. The views were so relaxing. To top it off the resident cat was there to meet us for check-in! We will definitely try to stay here again for the next family event.

Stayed Feb 14, 2025Unfortunately the weather turned bad thus the electricity went out on the morning of the last day. It’s ok. We understood. Several want to rent for their families in the near future. Great place. There were beautiful yaks, chickens, donkey and a great cat near us. Great experience. Every time I had to call- immediate assistance. Love the quaint location. You don’t want to miss this rental!

Stayed Dec 26, 2024Aside from all of us getting the norovirus the trip would have been perfect! The historic house is located on a beautiful quiet property. Everything you need is there as well as the hosts are close by. My granddaughters loved the Yaks, baby donkey and Naomi the cat. Sheets, towels are comfortable. I slept downstairs on the queen bed it was comfy. My only recommendation is maybe an L shaped sectional or a couch with a chaise arm for more comfortable living room seating. We would return.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Everyone should visit Deep Draw Yak Ranch if given the chance! The yaks are so friendly especially Razzleberry and Uncle Jimmy! The chickens are always near and the eggs are delicious! #1 for the kids is the rope swing!!! Oh and you can’t forget the house!!!!! A homestead from the Great Depression in 1934! The original barn is still here with the original paint! The most magnificent home! The yard is full of flowers and trees, it’s so peaceful! They have a gift shop with items made out of the actual Yak fur!!! They have socks, hats, ornaments, all kinds of neat things!!! And it’s super soft!!!! And the owners are the nicest people!!! Things we did this trip.. Cumberland Park, fall creek falls, ozone falls, site seeing, shopped at produce stands, went antiquining and antiquing and antiquing, lunch at GrinderHouse Coffee and more shopping at Cahoots - Two Gals General Store, we even went HORSEBACK RIDING, swimming in the cascades, had lunch at Old Timer Cafe in Spencer, and then we went to the Mennonites community and met one of the nicest men who is a dairy farmer!!! They also have a produce/baked goods stand Brockdell produce. They have the best bread and Whoopie pies with peanut butter icing!!!!!! Most of all we have enjoyed the outdoors and peace this week!!!!!Oh I hear that the room on the first floor has the best mattress ever!!!! I enjoyed the primary room and our kids loved the red barn room with the trundle and views of the yaks every morning!I have never been to a place that was stocked as this! There are dishes, spices, COFFEE, grill necessities, olive oil!!!, dish soap!!! Oh and there’s a washer and dryer!!!!!!!! That means no laundry once home!!Sooo what’s the downfall, right?!?!?!The downfall for me…..I don’t live here or I’m not closer!!!! I miss the yaks and donkeys!!!!!

Stayed Jun 28, 2024Property just as listed. Lovely, quaint, out in the country. Quiet and clean which is always a plus for us. Not too far from hiking and good restaurants though we had everything we needed to make some good meals too. Felt like a real get away but not isolated. The yaks, chickens, barn cat all added to the experience. Would stay here again.
