Stayed Dec 9, 2016The listing description was exactly what we found upon arrival. Location was great. The house was very clean and well maintained. The owner was helpful with questions and left a book of information which was also extremely helpful including recommendations for restaurants. Weather permitting, there are several places to eat within a good walking distance. I would recommend this property and I would stay again.

Stayed May 15, 2016This is a very unique house and my college friend and I enjoyed our three night stay in Asheville. I was in the king sized bed, which was a good choice as my window coverings let in light and I am a morning person. My friend's front bedroom dark shades allowed her to continue snoozing. The attention to detail to preserve the older wooden bedroom doors reminded me of my senior year college apartment (from the late 60's). However, the brand new kitchen was definitely modern and spacious. I enjoyed using it. The bird feeder kept me constantly watching all the cardinals and blue jays that happened by. It was unseasonably cool during our visit in mid-May, so didn't get a chance to sit outside. The house is set in a very interesting diverse neighborhood. I am from Miami and my friend from Augusta, GA and we found the neighbors friendly as I waved good morning as we were both putting trash out. A former Catholic School two doors down was purchased in the early 1970's by a church whose own building burned down. It was a great story to read on the internet. The building fascinated me with its classic statues of Saint Anthony Padu. We found Trader Joe's through town across the Interstate which I loved. My friend preferred the VERY nice Harris Teeter Grocery store next door. Between the two we found things for a light supper the evenings we didn't eat out. We enjoyed walking around downtown. The Ten Thousand Villages was very intriguing with crafts made around the globe and I bought several items for gifts. Of course the Biltmore was fabulous and the next day we had fun rummaging around the Antique Tobacco Barn. Found some treasures we couldn't resist. Thanks for a lovely introduction to Asheville through living in a very fun house. I bet its history is also interesting.

Stayed May 20, 2016We enjoyed the house, it was just as advertised, well stocked, very clean and quiet. The home was larger than I expected, the room off the back with the futon served as a third bedroom. Nice house, long walk downtown but Uber is only about $6, so it all worked out well. Great weekend for our family & friend.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in Ana's home for 6 nights for our vacation and to attend an art workshop. Both Ana and Vickie were very accommodating to my personal request. The home was clean with a minimalist, artsy vibe. The kitchen had all the items necessary to cook and serve meals - all the way down to the wine corks. The front porch and back deck both had comfortable seating to enjoy coffee, wine or any drink of choice. Bird feeder and food provided so you can enjoy the many birds who frequent the deck. The mattress on the king bed was firm and so comfortable. This home was perfect for me to unwind, meditate and rejuvenate. I walked to both the River Arts District and downtown on many occasions. Both areas were in short walking distance with downtown being the farthest (approximately two miles). The routes I walked seem to be very safe and all had sidewalks for easy travel. West Asheville and downtown both have so many choices on food and activities that you will never be bored. The homeowner provided a magazine that references the best of everything that Western North Carolina (WNC) has to offer. I definitely would stay here again - I would even let Ana adopt me. :-)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in Asheville for a 6 night girls getaway. We were impressed with the remodel - everything was clean and the minimalist style suited us. The location was good and the street was quiet. We really enjoyed the birds that visited the backyard. We didn't cook as there are so many great restaurants in Asheville. We especially liked Limones and Chestnut in Downtown Asheville.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969House was clean and comfortable. Had all the necessary things to cook meals at the house if you wanted to. Front porch and back deck were perfect places to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Short walk to River Arts district, just under 2 miles to downtown and about the same to the main entrance of the Biltmore Estate. Entrance to Blue Ridge Parkway was not far away also. We would stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Booked house for a quick weekend for my wife and a few of her friends to get away. The adjectives that I heard about the home when they got back were: amazing, comfortable, relaxing, close to everything. So while I can't personally give my opinion of the place, my better half and her 3 friends would definitely vouch for the place. What I can say is that the owner was very accommodating to allowing an early check-in. She kept us informed of everything we needed to know well before arrival and then followed up a couple days before to make sure we didn't need anything. So if I ever get up that way, I know where I'm going to try and lay my head.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was clean, and comfortable with gorgeous hard wood floors. Due to our many dietary restrictions, we did a lot of cooking in the kitchen - it was great! Traveling with children, it was convenient to have a waasher/dryer. Everything was in excellent order. The only drawback was the neighborhood. We'd imagined it a little more welcoming for walking around. We had no problems with any neighbors, but the surrounding blocks were a bit sketchy.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This home is so lovely! I love the arts and crafts style homes. The architectural details and the way the home is decorated are wonderful! We enjoyed being so close to the River Arts District, Biltmore, and downtown Asheville. It was fun to pretend for a few days that we are Asheville residents! The house, including the kitchen, is fully appointed, making it easy to feel right at home!
