Stayed May 2, 2024All was very nice. It also included a washer and dryer. My only complaint is that the front bedroom bed was so concave that only one person could sleep in it comfortably.

Stayed Feb 21, 2020Older home that was perfect for a weekend getaway to Lexington. Home is clean and convenient to everything. There is only one large bathroom even though description said 2. No worries though! Good amount of parking in back. Owner was reactive to our needs. Will definately rent again.

Stayed Apr 25, 2019We had a blast. The house was old but it had everything we needed and we had no issues. There were some flickering lights that caused headaches but really that’s about it. Would live there again. The location is amazing.

Stayed Sep 26, 2018Older property that gets the job done. Great central Lexington location. House was clean and location allowed us to access everything UK, downtown, Keeneland related. This is a historical house, so not without its quirks but if you’re looking for somewhere affordable to crash for a fun weekend in Lexington, it’s your spot!

Stayed May 10, 2018I was very disappointed with this rental. Of all the rentals I've stayed at with VRBO, this one was by far the worst. I've always been extremely pleased and this place was horrible in comparison. Positives are that there were some small appliances Coffee pot, Toaster, radio in one bedroom, good bed coverings, nice cutting board, adequate nonstick pots/pans and there are ice trays. There is 3 off street parking spots. They provided laundry soap but not dryer sheets (they were all dollar store type, which I couldn't use due to the strong smell). The dryer was falling apart on top, all the soaps, dishes, silverware, and utensils, steak knives were clearly dollar store quality. In the way of kitchen supplies there is just a can opener, one cookie sheet, a tea pot and a strainer. I rented this place with my husband and four children so I could save money and cook in, but I could barely do that. I couldn't shred cheese, scoop ice cream, cut my watermelon (no chopping/slicing knifes). There was no bowls other than cereal size, so I had nothing to put popcorn in or serve food. When I went to use the oven (we bought cookie dough to bake) and it started to smoke because the floor of the oven was caked with burned up food. My daughter woke up to discover a gross looking spot on the pillow case she just slept on (it was dark and she was sleepy and didn't look before bed). The bath tub had hair in it and a used bar of soap. The bath towels were nice and smelled fine. The shower curtain was new and nice, but the shower walls were black mildew ridden in the grout. It's a very old house (which we love!!!), but it needs a lot of work to come up to par in my opinion. There are holes in doors, windows stuck shut, doors caked in paint they don't close properly. All the floor vents were so gross in dusty yuck. I had family over to visit and cook with them (there were only 5 of us - my husband wasn't there yet with my kids) and couldn't serve coffee to all of them since there were only 4 mugs. Not to mention I was embarrassed as a host. The dining table had only room for 4 to sit, and not 6 to 8 like the ad says. I'm sure this all makes me sound very snobby, but I rent houses because of the kitchen conveniences and this was terrible. If you are four college young adults that plan on eating out and ordering pizza then this place is for you.

Stayed May 3, 2018We traveled to Lexington for our son’s graduation from UK. The house is a historical house with great potential and located close to the university. However the house needs some work. There was dust everywhere and you couldn’t t walk around barefoot or with light colored socks. There is no electrical outlet in bathroom, the porch has a huge hole in ceiling where water funneled through during rain, the light in kitchen didn’t work properly so we used our cellphone lights at night, there were no hangars in any of the closets and the mattresses/futon were very uncomfortable. It reminded us of college housing for current students. It’s was very sparsely furnished and decorated. We have rented houses from VRBO/Homeaway over 15 times and would rate this as our least satisfied experience. Jey and Robert were very nice and Jey actually drove to our house on the night we arrived to supply us with sheets. Once the house is ready, this will be a perfect rental.
