We loved walking to town, everything was great.
We truly enjoyed our stay in Salida at this cozy little home. We were just a few short blocks away from downtown area, cute shops, restaurants and the Arkansas River! Only downfall was no AC, just two units in the main two bedrooms. Just so happens it was a very, very hot July - otherwise wouldn't have bothered us. We ended up keeping blinds down and hanging a sheet to cover the kitchen doors during the day. The doors should have blinds on them! Not a ton of kitchen equipment - but we made due. Overall would stay here again!
Cozy house very close to the river and town. Was perfect for our family of 5. Ac in the bedrooms kept us clean and cold. Y’all stay safe
Great house and owners were very accommodating!
This property was the right fit for our trip! It was stocked with everything we needed and the perfect location so that we could easily walk into town. I would absolutely book this property again!
I would definitely stay here again. Great location, short walk to old downtown with coffee shop, boutiques, and the river park. Great communication with the property manager, no issues checking in or checking out. The place was as described in the listing and the pictures.
This was a great base for our activities around Salida. Very clean and good location. Short walk into town. Thanks
This home worked perfect for our family of 4. We skied at Monarch each day and spend time downtown Salida so this house and location worked great for us. The girls loved the bunk beds.
We stayed here with our three kids, infant, and au pair. It was easy to access and space flows nicely for a crowd. Not really much of a dining area but decent-sized kitchen and enough space to sit at the counter and in the living room for casual dining. The kids loved the bunk bed and it was nice to be able to have three of them sleep in one room comfortably. They loved the sand box outside and we were able to walk to the playground and restaurants even with three small kids. This is also 1/4 mile from hiking/running and mountain biking on S Mountain which is cool. The covered garage was nice to have and easy to unload/reload our stuff.
We stayed with our three kids (plus an infant) and au pair - quite comfortable - easy unloading from the covered driveway and great for kids. The three kids loved the bunk bed and it was efficient to have them all be able to sleep there with the full on the bottom. The kitchen is more spacious than it looks in photos and perfectly stocked for making basic meals. The kids loved eating at the counter and adults can make do with the sofa and coffee table - no true dining area besides the outdoor picnic table. The fenced in yard and sandbox are great for small children. We walked to the main downtown area easily for dinner (even with small children) and trails for hiking/biking are a quarter mile away. This is a great spot for families with young children who want to be close to everything. Riverside park was a quarter mile too and has a playground. Honestly this place is nicer even than the photos display, it has been really nicely updated! The master bed is a little soft but we have found that in most vrbo homes as we like pretty firm mattresses. Property manager was responsive and seemed nice.
Wonder location and close to all the awesome downtown places in Salida. The house itself was comfortable and clean. The one quirky thing about the would be the barn door style doors on the bathrooms. One bathroom in particular leaves a large gap on both sides while “shut” giving a visual of you in the shower or toilet. They also don’t stop sounds or smells defeating the purpose of a door so just make sure you a comfortable with the others you are staying with!
Clean, convenient, and comfortable. Excellent property if you're looking for a place to stay near the river, city park, and downtown attractions.
Perfect stay for my 3 grandsons and I. They walked to downtown. Easy access for all,of our activities and for fishing trips. Excellent communication with property manager. Meade of stay, ease of check out, multiple tv’s, the list goes on. This is an older property, but the updates are amazing. If at all possible, we will stay here again. What a great experience. The only thing…and it is a small thing-we couldn’t find a guest book so we could leave our personal thanks for the owner and the local manager. That might be something to think about Thanks for a great experience.
Fine location for walking/biking downtown. On a busy street though. The kitchen is not stocked with any essentials (salt, oil, spices, etc) but they do offer coffee. The shades back porch is only accessed around the back of the house. So you do have to walk around the house which is inconvenient. Temperature control was confusing and no guidelines. And the third bedroom was really part of the living room. Proximity to downtown was there. And a nice car port.
