Stayed Feb 6, 2026Yes! The host was incredible! She answered any questions almost immediately! The historical house itself was the standout. Right at edge of Ashland downtown, walkable. Plenty of sleeping & private areas. Cooking and very cute kitchen nook were fun. It was a BDay weekend for my sis & niece & we enjoyed!!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Our stay at Helman House in Ashland was perfect. The house was lovely and comfortable, with enough space for everyone to sleep, eat, cook, play cards, and watch TV--when we were not out and about in Ashland! Will stay there again.

Stayed May 29, 2025We all enjoyed our stay at the Hellman House. The joy of the day was sitting on the front porch and enjoying each others company. There is a king size bed downstairs and two queens in the room upstairs. The drawback for me was getting up the stairs. We are in our late 70's. No bathroom upstairs. We did enjoy being there...Nice warm feeling happy place.

Stayed Mar 25, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Helman House. It's located less than a five or ten minute walk to downtown Ashland (theaters, restaurants and great shopping) and beautiful Lithia Park.Besides the great location, you will enjoy the luxurious bedding and comfortable beds! The adorable front porch with table set and rocking Adirondack chairs are perfect to sit, relax, and enjoy the quiet neighborhood. We appreciated the private, off the street parking spot.We enjoyed the different areas of the house to join together to eat, relax, talk and/or play games. The bathrooms were well stocked and there was plenty of hot water for all four of us to shower each day. Extra bedding was easily available and the washer and dryer were very convenient! The house was clean and orderly and very comfortable.Sylvie is an excellent host - she responded very quickly to any questions we had before and during our stay! We will definitely stay at Helman House again!

Stayed Oct 18, 2024My husband and I have stayed at many of the rentals in Ashland over the years. We really enjoyed the location of Hellman House. One could walk just about anywhere to dine, have drinks, shop, visit famous Lythia Park. The home was clean, and the property manager was very responsive. My only nitpicky thought is that the upstairs bedroom doesn’t have a door. Kind of odd. Should be easy enough to add one. Our daughter and her fiancé stayed with us two nights, and so we had to be quiet downstairs as not to wake them over our early morning coffee.

Stayed Oct 25, 2024We were in town to visit our daughter who is a student @ SOU it’s was absolutely prefect. We walked to the market blocks away then stopped at the shops on the strip the house was size an amenities were perfect! The only issue we had was we checked in an the Tv was broke we didn’t have tv til about 1pm Saturday which made us have a small delay in our trip which was a bummer bc we were only in town for 2days but thanks to Lennon who was absolutely awesome & got us a working tv!! He was very very friendly & worked with us quickly so we could enjoy the rest of the day thank you for everything all in all the host was great an very responsive too still get a 5star from us !! Thank for everything

Stayed Aug 14, 2024Excellent old home that has been modified throughout the decades to keep up with modern conveniences. Excellent heating and cooling systems. Love the front porch for rocking with a morning cup of coffee and an evening glass of wine. Pretty quiet inside while sleeping despite close neighbors with hyper-reactive dogs and a daycare. Each bedroom has a window without a blind/covering, so bring an eye mask if you don't want to be woken up by natural light from a 6ish am sunrise.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024I can not say enough good things about the helman house. It was so charming and comfortable. We loved the little enclosed front yard and the well lit breakfast nook. The location was excellent and was an easy 7ish minute walk to downtown ashland and ~10 minutes to the Oregon Shakespeare festival. My daughter loved the upstairs bedroom - big and spacious. sylvie was also excellent in her communication and availability. The neighborhood is super cute also. I would strongly recommend this place if you are staying in Ashland.
