Stayed Jan 11, 2026This home has been lovingly updated and furnished and was the perfect place to stay while visiting our daughter. It is convenient to the plaza, the Finnish tubs, the Septentrio Winery, the Creamery, etc. and has a lovely yard with a fire pit. That being said, it is directly across the street from the Safeway and CVS and although there are new windows, there is a bit of traffic noise. It was not enough to keep us from having a good night's sleep! Be aware that the fire pit is shared with other units; we were fortunate that other people were not staying in the adjacent units while we were there, as the fire pit faces directly into the sliding patio door that goes into the kitchen of this unit. In warmer weather, if a group was out at the fire pit, there could be privacy and noise issues. If you were traveling with a group, it would work well.

Stayed Dec 5, 2025The place was ok but in a shady area. I would’ve been fine with it overall but what happened was I booked the incorrect date, right away and over 30 days out I messaged them and then immediately booked the correct date. They never cancelled my incorrect date. Still weeks out I told them that I still see the incorrect reservation. They only will now refund me 50% for the incorrect reservation. Really bad service and I already stayed there and was a good and fair patron. Don’t give them your money.

Stayed Oct 20, 2025Our cottage was beautiful as was the garden and very pet friendly while the kitchen provided all we needed to cook simple meals. The location was central and allowed the option to walk everywhere.My only reservation was no light in the shower or over the sink but those were small inconveniences compared to the many amenities available. Absolutely loved the artwork and overall eclectic decor!

Stayed Sep 13, 2025Adorable property centrally located to all things Arcata. Easy walk to the plaza. Very convenient! King bed mattress is very soft and the queen mattress is slightly firmer. Fully stocked kitchen and great back patio for morning coffee! We’ll be back!

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Lovely cottage that accommodated my family of five perfectly. Walking distance to restaurants, drug store, grocery’s, bars, farmers market, minor league baseball and so much more. Clean house with all the amenities. Good WiFi, streaming selections, great outdoor space. We loved Arcata and will definitely be back!
