Made very welcome at all times. The room was immaculate and the food service was second to none. I will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Stopped at the hotel as a base for a Charity Ball in the local area. Lovely place, staff friendly and accommodating. Comfortable bed and fabulous hot shower. Breakfast was everything I needed nice selection of continental and then hot breakfast choices. Would recommend and stay again if in the area.

The hotel and surroundings were beautiful. We felt let down by an issue reported in the evening where we mentioned our shower was constantly dripping and leaving a patch of water on the outside of the shower screen, was concerned it would go through to ceiling below. Noone came to look as we were assured. In the morning we couldn't shower as the water was scalding hot from the shower and couldn't get any cold to cool it down. This was reported to Owen on departure. Owen is a credit to The Sweene

Bed was lovely and comfortable, evening meal was excellent, worth staying just for the food.

Ambience and staff friendliness

Comfortable though slightly cluttered bedroom, with a high double bed and quirky decoration made this an original and memorable stay. Food was tasty and traditional. Could do with more staff at breakfast time.

Staff & location great , privately run

The hotel building is lovely, the location great, the hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff helpful and pleasant, particularly Will Isle. This was our fourth stay in what was to become our regular pit stop when travelling between South Wales and the North West. When we checked out on our third stay the young lady charged me for the accommodation again, after a large number of words we decided to let the technology sort it. The day before our fourth stay we had a series of emails with Arch

Pleasant room and lovely food

I had to get to a hospital appointment and in order to make sure I was on time for it the staff had taken my order the day before and it was waiting for me at 0730. Great service..

It was exceptional value

The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is an excellent selection of breakfasts and we also enjoyed the food and ambiance when we ate there for dinner. The particular room we had needs a bit of a refresh but it was clean and well equipped.

Lovely clean rooms pleasant grounds to walk round good food and able to relax with excellent views

The location suited our travel arrangements and the room, meals and friendly staff all exceeded our expectations.

The location of the hotel, the food, staff excellent. My reason for downgrading was the plumbing. We didn’t get any sleep the first night due to noisy plumbing. We changed rooms, and still had a bit of noise but not as bad as the first night. The hot water in the shower in the second room, was scalding hot and we couldn’t turn it down, so gave up on the shower. Obviously, old house needs re plumbing.
