    Comfortable, peaceful, and convenient, Dolomite 8 was a wonderful place to stay for the winter. The condo was impeccable upon move in. Nearly all of the furnishings were literally brand new and it was cleaned to perfection. We found it well-appointed, especially the kitchen... you can tell the owner seriously loves to cook based on their vast collection of spices and variety of high-end cookware. I mostly just BBQ'd so it was great to have a quality grill to use on the patio. My favorite touch was the numerous houseplants throughout the condo, they made it feel like home instead of a rental. The setting is beautiful. It's the top floor unit and both the main bedroom and the living room look out directly to the forest. The train tracks are surprisingly close, but it's amazing how quiet it is. We found it charming and interesting to watch the trains go by, never annoying or disturbing. The location was perfect. Right of Hwy 80, an easy drive to Palisades/Alpine and downtown Truckee, and, best of all, a short walk to all kinds of great things including Donner Creek Brewing, Dreamtown CrossFit, CVS & Save Mart, and several dining options. Before the snow piled up, we enjoyed long walks along the paved path going west looking out to the forest. The highway noise is loud along the path, but within the condo it was never an issue. We loved staying here and found it a wonderful escape and place to relax between trips to the ski slopes.
