Dog-Friendly Newport Ocean View Bluff Retreat w/Rec Room, Walk to Beach!

House itself was great with a fully stocked kitchen and was very clean. My issue (and why I gave it 3/5 stars) is with the deception of it being beachfront property. It is absolutely NOT. Property pictures were taken at just the right angles to where you can’t see the entire HIGHWAY that is in between the house and the beach. You need to walk a solid 15-20 mins and cross two main roads to get to the beach. Not a great walk if you have small children or anyone with mobility issues. We were willing to pay the steep nightly rate for the beachfront reason, and that’s the one thing I didn’t get. Had the property description/pictures accurately depicted the distance to the beach and the price reflected that, it would have been perfect. Unfortunately, I feel like I got duped, and for the price we paid we could have *actually* gotten a house closer to the beach.

Spent the weekend in this very cozy, comfortable home celebrating our daughter’s 18th birthday. Perfect layout for teenagers to have their own space. Game room was a plus. Beds were comfortable & the kitchen had everything we needed. Views of the ocean were beautiful. Very convenient location to visit both Lincoln city and Newport!

Relaxing and enjoyable stay’

The location and views from the house were great! The house was nice. My only suggestion would be it could be a bit cleaner (fruit flies, spider webs on light fixtures and lack of dusting/cleanliness in places). But overall, a great place, and I would go back.

Wonderful location, comfortable beds, outstanding view, great kitchen supplies, and we loved our stay. Great restaurants in depot bay and Newport. Amazing whale watching with Carrie and her dogs at eco whale in depot bay!!

Absolutely beautiful home and epic view! We had the best time and appreciated the 1-minute drive to several great beaches. I highly recommend!!

The property was be beautiful, the views were amazing, we had one clear day and a couple of very foggy days and it was just stunning either way. We were upstairs and the king size bed and the twin beds for our 20-year-old and teen were wonderful. We walked to Beverly Beach from the house, it was about 15 minutes down the hill and we enjoyed the walk but I would definitely just drive to the parking lot and walk the two minutes under the bridge to the beach if you just want to get to the beach. Don’t forget your wind, resistant jackets, we got some from Goodwill when we were there because we didn’t pack properly from Tennessee, lol. It was amazing at the lighthouse and you definitely need to hit the tide pools, we got up really early to do that. Our journey back to the house was always exciting because we had so much fun there. The kitchen was great.

Beautiful views, well stocked with basics. Loved the spa in master bath.On the downside, way too many stairs! It’s not a two minute walk to beach. Had to drive to state park to reach beach. If you walk, it’s about 15 minutes.Bbq was in horrible shape. Carpet upstairs still wet when we arrived. TV in master didn’t work. Area rug in living room a tripping hazard.Ten a.m. ck out is too early. They want you to haul the big garbage to curb.

Originally from NW Oregon we moved away a few years ago and miss the coast so much. We came back to visit and this house was a great find. No complaints at all! Good views all around! Close to the lighthouse!

Great home with plenty of room and full views of the ocean and beach from the main bedroom and living room. Great place for family to spread out and close to Newport. We loved it!

The house was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. A disappointing few broken things, tub jets, kitchen sink drips, dart board didn't have cord or working darts, the Teflon was loose on pans.

The house was really lovely and well stocked. The views were amazing. We had a wind and rain storm during our stay that made it fun

Beautiful view. Not enough time to take full advantage of the great game room. Stocked perfectly for everything we needed. Loved the layout, everyone enjoyed their own privacy. Highly recommend a stay here

Overall great stay and really nice views

Kitchen was fun to cook in, clean, well organized. All bedrooms had comfortable beds and soft sheets and pillows. Loved the view.

Beautiful property, pool table was a nice touch, TV was awesome, Spectrum internet was buffering during programs, happens, running up and down stairs to take doggies out was quite a workout, we’re retired lol, but found new muscles!! Main floor mattress was not comfortable, moved to 3rd floor and that was perfect! Put a puzzle together, haven’t done one in years, fun!! Drove to Beverly Beach a couple times and went to Nye beach. Has Abby deliver a pizza on first night, it was delicious, driver was pleasant. Cooked clam spaghetti and regular spaghetti, cooked omelettes drank good wine, kitchen was set up nicely, I would fire cabinet installer’s!! As a retired electrician I notice stuff, lol.

House was beautiful, well maintained and clean. The ocean view was a spectacular and the neighborhood was very quiet. Thank you!

A charming home that feels like a home with all the art and decorations. The game room is fun and all the amenities you would possibly need. Great job and being mid-way between the fun, it was a great stay

This home feels like a true escape to the beach. It has everything you could need, and offers a wonderful walk to a nearby State Beach. It's a short hop into Newport fo lunch, dinner, an aquarium or lighthouse visit etc. Super and all of the planning was easy and convenient.. right down to the personalized door code!

Dog friendly house with incredible views and lots of character. The state park is currently closed for construction but when it opens up again it will be walking distance to the beach. Easy drive to Newport.
