Oregon Coast adventures begin at this comfortable, light-filled home on the Siuslaw River just outside downtown Florence. This home is a quick drive from the open ocean beach, mere minutes from the heart of town, and across the road from Prichard State Wayside - the smallest state park in all of Oregon.
This two-level home is roomy and bright, with soft carpeting, large picture windows, and river views greeting you as you enter. There's a window seat where you can curl up with a good book in the mornings and a wood-burning fireplace and a flatscreen cable TV to keep things cozy at night. Moving into the kitchen, you'll find a wealth of cabinet storage, a breakfast bar for three, and an eat-in dining table by the window. A gas grill, an outdoor patio with picnic tables and a firepit make it easy to dine al fresco in the cool ocean breeze as well. Furry companions are welcomed for a small, nightly fee, and will love zig-zagging through the grassy lawn.
At night, you'll have your choice of one bedroom on the main floor and two bedrooms - including one with a river view - upstairs. Additional amenities include a private laundry room and free high-speed WiFi throughout the house.
Things to Know
PLEASE NOTE: There is iron in the water at this home. It is highly recommended that you do not wash any whites in the washer as some materials get a yellow tint after washing. The tap water is drinkable. It is well water and all water coming into the house is filtered. You may smell iron or see discoloration, but it’s safe to drink.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.
Security camera details: Ring door camera
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
The heat was difficult to figure out and took a very long time to heat the house. Not all bedrooms have a heat source. There’s a fireplace but no wood. The house had been cleaned but still found hairs in the bedding. Needed to wash bedding. The service was okay not great.
Great location .. literally minutes away from the dunes .. HUGE driveway to park your trailers .. will be back
My message I sent to the property manager with absolutely zero acknowledgement of actual concerns: I unfortunately have a lot of negative feedback about our stay. I don’t feel as though the money we paid was worth it. I don’t want to leave anything so negative on the public page and hopeful a partial refund will be considered. Also, my family and I did not feel safe due to harassment by a white male neighbor with a beard. The rugs in the bathroom were dirty, as well as stains on the carpeting in several spots. The hot water was not working in the lower right bathroom the first night we were there. Ran it for five minutes with no hot water. The “filtered water” was gross and gave me a stomach ache. Our kids complained as well….The neighbor down the street yelled at my child and my husband two days in a row. The first time he came over he pulled up in a black classic car and revved his engine. He yelled at my son to get outta there (he was in the road riding his bike). The next morning he pulled up and stared at my husband. Then called him a “mother f-er” and told him to respect his neighbors. He got out of his truck and was threatening telling my husband to get out and that he “knows exactly what he has.” Referencing that he thought he had a gun. We no longer felt welcomed and the stay in itself did not feel warm.
They were a great vacation and this house was part of it, very comfortable and very complete. My family and I had a great time
Large enough to serve 5 people and a dog. Full kitchen and near water. Quiet neighborhood.
Beautiful location and house but it was definitely lacking cleanliness I own a cleaning company myself and was very disappointed there was a dishwasher full of dirty dishes when we arrived and there was 7 full dog poop bags in front of the garage
The house was well stocked and quite cozy, and would have been a great place to relax by the coast if it weren’t for undrinkable, visibly yellow, foul smelling tap water. All the faucets produced water the color of dehydrated urine with a foul chemical/metallic odor. Skin burned slightly after showering in it. Vacasa customer service repeatedly promised prompt remediation, but I have yet to hear anything back from them. Until the water issue is fixed, I would strongly urge you to avoid this property, or come prepared with ample bottled water to drink and cook with.
This was an amazing spacious house for my family and so close to the Florence dunes which was a plus. Not to mention had enough space to park our trailer
This house was very cozy, great parking, surprisingly roomy. Will recommend to friends for sure.
House was nice but had dog smell and had to air it out. Water is rusty and not good for drinking. Only one bedroom had a bath and the others had to walk downstairs to use. Didn't spend a lot of time there.
great location lots of room for parking with trailers or big rv
The house is super cute!! Our family had a great time!
Not a fan of checking in late and checking out early, but it was a nice stay in a quaint vintage home. The kids wanted to “move in” and “stay there forever”.
Easy going booking and experience. Great view and quiet location. Awesome we could bring our Great Dane with us. Fire pit was a plus.. everything we needed and more.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again....the location was perfect for our needs and the river view was spectacular. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc..... The property needs a little overall maintenance.....cobwebs on the exterior around entrances/windows/etc, stained carpets , stained toilet bowls and the lawn needed to be mowed. The water from the sinks was discolored so we purchased water for both cooking and drinking. There was only a very meager supply of toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags.....we purchased more in order to make it through the week.
Our stay was overall okay. The house is clean and comfortable in general, with a nice view. The kitchen is stocked well for cooking equipment, etc. There are some low ceilings that should be noted for the taller guests, and it appears that there may be some illegal activity taking place in the tiny park directly across the street from the house at very late hours, although this didn't impact us other than wondering if something more problematic were possible. Our main issue leading to a lower rating was that one night around midnight my brother who is traveling with us encountered a small BAT in his upstairs bedroom. After isolating the critter, he was eventually able to get a screen off the small window, catch the bat in a towel, and release it outside. Neither he nor the bat was harmed. We only had screened windows open in the house, so the only entry for the bat could have been from the attic. I found a small area in the upstairs closet where it possibly crawled through, and put a folded paper towel in it to prevent further intrusions. Once we notified Vacasa, the management agency in charge of this property, of the issue so they could eventually take action to remove any other bats that may be in the attic, we heard absolutely zero from them, except the auto messages regarding checkout and rating our stay. I sent the message to them at two different times via two different email methods, and still nothing. I've waited an additional 24 hours for a response, but have received nothing even acknowledging our issue. I'm glad it wasn't something more serious.
This house is conveniently located close to everything Florence has to offer! We've made a tradition to go stay a week every summer, to ride ATVs on the dunes at TOREX rentals for a few days in a row. The house was a 5 min drive from torex, and located on a dead end street and a not super busy street, on a corner lot. Our dog was very comfortable, too. The only thing that I can even say negative is the water pressure was awful, but you know, not a deal breaker as we've stayed in much tougher conditions before! Would definitely stay here again, lots of boardgames for the family, a few toys for the kids like a nice big selection of Lincoln logs!
Good over all.
Will stay here again!
