We had a nice stay spring break week. Great location on a beach block and really amazing outdoor pool/dining/seating area. The inside was OK - small living area, carpets were worn, inside cabinets/closets weren't the cleanest. The noise from the street didn't bother us at all but we brought white noise for the bedrooms. The basics are there. Definitely would help to have 1 or 2 more beach chairs (there were only 2 functional ones).
Beach Hideaway is not a bad spot, but we wouldn't book it again. First, the positives. The best part was by far the pool area. It is just like the pictures, a lovely oasis in the backyard, with both shaded and unshaded seating. The layout of the open-plan interior living room is good too. It is a short walk down a dead-end road to the beach, no roads to cross. The location is also good in terms of being close to Pine Street - a long walk or a short golf cart ride. But, we had some issues. Unfortunately the pool heater wasn't working when we arrived - it was fixed the next day, but we were frustrated with Vacasa - all customer service calls go through a call center and it isn't possible to talk to anyone locally, and the service center had no idea when/if the issue would be resolved. Because of the call center I would hesitate with booking Vacasa in the future. Really the pool is the reason to book this rental and we were frustrated to have a day without it. As noted in some other reviews, it is next to Gulf Drive, which get pretty loud with traffic noise. That, and the fact that the master bed was pretty bad (old mattress sagging badly in the middle), made for a lousy week of sleep. Also be aware that the interior and exterior areas are also pretty separated, which may or may not work for your family (unlike many Anna Maria rentals where there is some visibility to the pool area from the house). So it's not terrible, but we wouldn't book again.
The space was perfect for our family of 4 and it was very close to restaurants, amenities and the beach.
Loved the pool area— beautiful pool, table, etc. even has a big screen tv which was broken when we arrived. Kitchen and living room spaces were very nice.
We enjoyed our stay. The backyard was very nice and it was only a short walk to the beach. The house was in good shape and very clean. Owners should replace the carpet in the bedrooms for tile though as it's very worn. The house included enough towels and beach towels and toilet paper. They also had a nice starter pack of soap, detergent, paper towels. We will definitely book again in the future.
Our family loved everything about this property. The pool area was amazing, and the kids loved it. Kids swam in the pool for hours everyday. Home was updated and in a good location, with a very short walk to the beach. We were able to take the golf cart to the end of the road and park so that we didnt have to walk and carry everything. We would stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Anna Maria Island.
Great place but just needs more chaises by the pool along with beach chairs and bikes. We had a wonderful month?
We enjoyed our recent stay at Beach Hideaway. The house is very cute and nicely decorated. It is a very short walk to the lovely beach. It is a bit longer walk to the shops and restaurants, but still very walkable. We had one maintenance issue that was never really resolved. The TV in the living room was not working when we arrived. After a visit from maintenance the following day, it would work sporadically, but not consistently. The biggest drawback however is the location of house--it is the first house on the main street into Anna Maria and the traffic noise is a major issue. I had read about this issue in previous reviews, but really did not think it would bother us as I typically sleep with ear plugs and a white noise machine anyway. Well the earplugs and white noise were no match for the very loud motorcycles, cars and trucks (there is a lot of house construction on the island). After the first night we moved from the main bedroom into the guest bedroom. Although that did help, it was still quite loud at times and we were awoken several times. If you do not think the noise will bother you, then I would recommend this house.
We just got home from our stay at the house !! It was very clean the pool area was amazing and the shallow area was perfect for our baby. I did contact the property manager before our stay asking about a pack and play . They told us they didn’t have one at the property. When we arrived there was one there for anyone staying that might need one it might have been left behind from other guests. But was really nice to have . The house comes what is listed no extra things not even a pen. We made a few trips to the dollar tree for extra garbage bags and such. There was road work going on during our stay my right outside the house at night till 2am would have been nice to be warmed about that a head of time. The house is next right to the road so you do hear the road traffic. The house I felt like was in a great location2 minute walk to the beach 10 minutes walk to restaurant. We would come stay here again!!!
This is a very nice house. It is clean and well maintained. Great location on beach block. I would definitely stay here again.
