Location and overall cleanliness.
We overall enjoyed our stay here. The house is in a great location, great layout, and is well equipped. I received a text that the house was ready early. Upon arrival, it is a repeat of a previous review of wet towels and unclean. I called Vacasa and they responded quickly. I received a call from the local team and the place was cleaned by the 4pm check in time. Unfortunately, I called the local person 2 more times with no response. I reported the disposal was broken (no response). I also called because we had left medicine for a disabled person in a drawer that we needed to retrieve (no response). The property needs someone to do an inspection in order do repairs, a cleanliness check, and safety check. The jets were not working on the bathroom tub, disposal is broken, algae is accumulated on driveway which is a safety hazard. We slipped a couple times in the rain. Lawn needs maintenance. We do not mean to be critical because we like this property and will probably rent it again. Just hoping this brings some change. I would like to think that if you could increase your ratings, that you could rent it more often. It is a great house, great location with a lot to offer. It just needs some TLC.
This is large spacious house with a large deck. Had our our 8 & 4 year old grandkids over and they had plenty of room for their race cards and dolls. Each had their on twin bed and a bathroom. Many kitchen appliances, pans, dishes, etc.
Vacasa did not meet our expectations. We struggled to get into the property- took several hours to hear back. Oven didn't work. House smelled like wet carpet. Woke up to a bat in the bedroom which required rabies shots for two of us. Sent letters to Vacasa North Carolina (letter was refused) and one to Vacasa LLC in Portland, OR. No response and it has been 6 months since our stay. Very disappointed in Vacasa's lack of communication. Finally decided to leave this message. VRBO should investigate Vacasa since they are negatively affected by their business.
Called regarding issues and no one seemed to care. House had issues.
The home was well equipped but it needs a lot of maintenance including plumbing upstairs, heating upstairs, all appliances except microwave, and furnishings. Beds and bedding not comfortable and there are big box speakers sitting in living room with no function. Fireplace has a blower but needs an extension cord to operate. Like I said, the home was well equipped but just lacks any ambiance due to outdated equipment and furnishings
When we arrived there were 8 to 10 bags of garbage in the garage. I notified Vacasa, the management company that night via text and was told that a local representative of company would be in contact. After 3 days of requesting that the garbage be removed, it was still there when we left. In the meantime, the smell got worse and worse. Other issues with the management/property: * The check-in procedure was not provided until mid-afternoon of the day of arrival * There was no guest info book * The smoke alarm in one of the bedrooms had fallen off the ceiling snd was on the floor * There was no coffee maker, only a Keurig * There was no soap for the dishwasher * There was only one hand towel in the bathroom and no bar soap Other than all of the above, the property was comfortable and clean.
House is very dated, cleaning crew can only do so much. Primary TV would not work - wouldn’t even turn on - even after 2 days when someone was finally dispatched to come check it. Wifi wouldn’t work initially which is paramount because phone reception in this area is well known to be bad. Therefore smart TV’s won’t work! Does not meet the Hound Ears standards. First poor experience in all the years I’ve rented through vrbo. Would not recommend this house. And would like some sort of refund!
