Your own slice of Outer Banks paradise awaits at this family- and dog-friendly home, just minutes from the beach. With an unbeatable central location, you can step out the front door and walk to several nearby restaurants, or hop in the car for a quick drive north to Jockey’s Ridge State Park or the Wright Brothers National Memorial, both about 30 miles away. Head south along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, a little over 20 miles away, with miles of glorious beach along the way. There are lots of watersport opportunities nearby as well.
At home, start the day with coffee and a glorious sunrise view from the top-level observation deck, then head downstairs to the swing on the screened porch for some quiet time before the day gets started. Multiple decks on each level, plus a large yard ideal for the kids and family dog to play, round out your outdoor space.
Inside, you’ll find two levels of living space with comfortable coastal decor and plenty of room to spread out. The recently updated main living area features new flooring, new furniture, and a modern, well-equipped kitchen, with a full suite of stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, lots of cabinet space, and all the cookware you'll need to turn out family feasts - or just snacks for the beach. Grab a bite at the window-front dining tables on either level, then slip into your swimsuit and head for the beach.
When you return, rinse off the sand in the outdoor shower and toss the day’s clothes in the washer/dryer for a quick refresh. If you’ve spent the day fishing, a convenient fish-cleaning table on the patio makes meal prep a breeze. Spend downtime at home in the comfy living room or den upstairs, with entertainment options including four TVs, free WiFi and cable, board games, and a tabletop retro arcade game machine featuring favorites like Donkey Kong and Pac-Man. Three well-appointed bedrooms promise a restful night’s sleep, but not before one more visit to the observation deck for a nighttime toast under the stars to booking the perfect OBX retreat.

We definitely enjoyed the property. Unfortunately, we didn't receive the door code prior to arrival. It took almost an hour to gain access. The location and proximity to the beach were amazing. The downside was that there wasn't enough toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish washer detergent. Check in and check out times are difficult. And the cleaners showed up an hour and a half earlier than check out. Communication with Vacasa has been challenging.
My brother and I stayed here over a long weekend. We were surfing so we were only there to sleep, and chill at the end of the day. However the home itself is so cool! Love the style, super spacious and just feels homey.
This was a great home within a short walking distance to the beach. With access to the local pool made our stay much more enjoyable as the winds were hard and ocean swimming was not great. Very quiet neighborhood with ice cream at the end of the street. Tourist attractions were within an hour so it was a great stay.
We loved this home. It was our second year staying here. The biggest drawback is the location of you are into all the shopping and activities that Nags Head had. Otherwise it is a fantastic escape away from crowds and traffic.
What a beautiful house! Perfect for the kids and dog. We loved that there was enough room for everyone, including the extra seating area with the arcade game! Super clean and easy to access. Close to the beach, a short drive to the Salvo day use beach, and close to both Body Island Lighthouse and Hatteras Lighthouse. Couldn't asked for a more perfect way to spend Spring Break!
Upon arriving the first night, there were two cockroaches on the floor (still alive, but barely), and I discovered a *loose* electrical outlet at the top of the stairs that even had no cover on it! I’m glad I found it before my 2-year old stuck his fingers in there. I don’t expect someone else’s house to be baby-proofed, but I do expect normal safety precautions. There was no ‘welcome’ email or paper in the house, so we didn’t know anything about the property, the Wi-Fi password, etc. All we knew was the key code to get in. There were some things found on the carpets…makes you wonder how well the cleaning staff vacuumed. Vacasa also left a huge plastic bin of used linens from the previous guests in the front yard right by the stairs where you first walk in. It sat there for two days until someone finally picked it up. Definitely a less-than-par experience.
We loved how close it was to the beach. It was reasonably priced and had just the right amount of bedrooms for us.
Our family loved this home. It is perfectly situated where access to anything we wanted was easily attainable. Short walk to the beach, short drive to dining and attrqctions in Waves and an easy drive to Avon for anything else. The home was furnished with everything you need. It helped me realize how little I really need in my daily life. Waves Market and Deli had great food as well. I cannot think of anything that would have made our stay befter.
We enjoyed our stay and there were a lot of nice things! Just a few things, it's not small child friendly, our toddler is mostly proficient with the stairs which was definately helpful. On the upper decks there is a star burst pattern on the porch railings that made me too nervous to even let the kids out on since they could easily slip through. The only other thing I would say is the beds aren't too comfy. The convinience to the beach was great!
Home away From Home with a nostalgic arcade game!! Fun !!
