Clean house that is close to town. Kitchen did not accommodate for cooking all meals, could use more accessories and there wasn’t enough seating in living room. One couch and a chair does not work for more than 4 people well.
It's a cute house with a fully fenced backyard, which was perfect for our dog. The kitchen was fairly stocked & the space was great. I could see how this would work well with a slightly larger group. I would highly recommend the master bedroom mattress be replaced, as it is quite lumpy and not supportive at all. Some of the games had missing pieces, but that's hard to manage in a rental. Overall, a nice housing and we enjoyed our stay.
My friend and I stayed a week while attending classes at Quilter's Affair. The property was located in such a way that we never had to cross the busy center street that runs through downtown Sisters. It was only 8 mins from the high school where the classes were being held. We had plenty of room to stitch and sew when we got back to the house. It is a lovely quite place.
If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is an amazing property. The pictures were a little misleading. There is no outdoor furniture and the horseshoe pit has been taken out. Other than that the house was spot on and very beautiful.
This was a perfect find right around the corner from my sister's house. It is a stunning property but lacked amenities (i.e. the kitchen...not many dishes, cannot prepare meals with what is there, coffee maker and oven didn't work right). I was super distracted by the giant cobweb in the living room, but had a great time for the most part.
Beautiful house, and great location (for our needs). The Bad: - As soon as we walked in, my daughter used the downstairs bathroom and told me that the seat is broken and that she had cut her leg on it. I took a look to see the seat completely broken. There's no way this couldn't have been noticed by the cleaning crew, or whoever use the house last. I contacted Vacasa and got some canned response about sorry, we'll contact the nearby services and get to you as soon as possible. The never did. We had 5 people using the 1 bathroom upstairs most of the time (except for the boys when they just needed to pee). The medium: - The heater downstairs struggles to keep the house warm. The temperature would consistently sit between 60 and 64, while the thermostat was set to 70. We had to wear sweaters/jackets most of the time. - Water heater set low. Showers were taken with only hot water on (no cold), and we still hoped it could get warmer. The minor: - Kitchen had some nice pots/pans, but could be stocked way better. On the first night, we made pasta, but there is no strainer in the kitchen. There was a single bent spatula, and very few other kitchen utensils. - A few dog stains on the carpet. - Master bed mattress was pretty old and uncomfortable. We were pretty unhappy (mainly for the fact that we'd paid for 2 bathrooms, and only had 1 most of the time), and left 3 nights early. Vacasa was terrible at resolving any of our issues (i.e. they did nothing but send canned responses). I've been VRBO'ing for a long time in dozens of houses, and this is sadly my worst experience. Shame, because the house has a lot of potential.
The air conditioning unit went out before we arrived and it was 104° for multiple days. There was no other options for us to move but the owner and property manager handled it well giving us plenty of fans and making everything right. We will stay here again for sure it’s a great location. Close to sisters and close to mini outdoor activities. Great hikes and biking right from the door. We hope they add more cooking utensils like non stick spatulas, a corkscrew for wine!
What a great spot for a weekend getaway with friends. There’s plenty of room to hang out, a great kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The place was immaculate. Great location- very close to Sisters but once there you felt far from any hustle and bustle. We’d come back!
