Enter the gate off the private lane and be greeted by this beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath Hacienda style home. Expansive grassy and very private yard has many trees and lush flowering plants. Spanish Villa inspired, the yard offers a large outdoor living space perfect for lounging in the sunshine and enjoying sunset family meals on the patio. Follow the tiled staircase past the tranquil fountain up to the main living level of the home. Take in the breathtaking views from the upper terrace which wraps about the second level with several doors that open to welcome in the cooling ocean breezes.
A sunny fully equipped kitchen has all major appliances and everything you will need to prepare your meals. The dining area is off the kitchen and has seating for 4 people. Home is classic beach Windansea style with hardwood floors and beamed ceilings. Cozy living room has comfy seating, a flat screen TV, and fireplace for keeping warm on chilly evenings. There are two sets of french doors in living room that open onto the ocean view terrace where there is more dining space and seating to relax and unwind.
There are 2 soothing bedrooms in the main house with queen sized beds that share a Jack and Jill full bathroom with traditional Spanish tiled fixtures. The ocean view bedroom has french doors leading out to the terrace, and an office room with desk. The private Casitas (with separate entrance from the lower patio) has the third bedroom with full size bed and a full beautifully tiled bathroom. This is great for teens or couples who want more privacy or perfect to use as a ''nanny room''. The living area in the Casitas also has a queen sofa sleeper, TV and a full kitchenette. French doors open onto the lower patio and the yard area from the living room and bedroom.
Other amenities include off street parking for two vehicles, washer and dryer and WIFI internet access.

Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning.
This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with Vacasa Seasonals, Inc.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This was a perfect location in our favorite destination. Familiarity of our surroundings in a hidden historic 1925 gem of a home that has been well taken care of...and on a large lot where property is scarce. Literal footsteps to the beach and the sound of waves at night. Beautiful sunsets from our bedroom balcony and gorgeous morning coffee there too! We'll be back :-)

Perfection
The neighborhood could hardly be more charming, with its narrow lanes and well-kept cottages, and the house exceeded our expectations. With windows and doors open to the sea breeze, we felt connected to the outdoors while never less than comfortable, even in a humid heat wave. This is classic California living. With a couple of young kids, we loved having a yard to play in and a beach to walk to (and there are beach toys and towels, so we didn't need to bring them). The hosts were very welcoming and their dining suggestions hit the spot. We'd love to return someday.
This house was perfect for our grown family of five. The downstairs in-law apt was great for my 22 year old son. Great location with a lot of charm. Great location to beaches, town, golf courses, restaurants etc. We love keeping all of the windows open all the time and doors open when home allowing us indoor/outdoor living. Coffee on the veranda in the morning with the sound of the ocean and breeze was the best way to start the day. House was comfortable and relaxing. Well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Absolutely loved our stay and found it hard to leave. Hope to return in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay in this home. The location was one of the best things about this home. We were close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The yard is the next best thing. So much space for family to gather and for our fur babies. The home is so quaint and charming. We loved the serenity. There are also some ocean views from the upper level. I would stay here again. We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for our party of 6 and had a great view of the water and just a few steps to the beach. La Jolla is a wonderful community and close to all San Diego attractions. I would definitely recommend this house!
My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay at this rental property. It was so quiet, secluded, full of greenery, and was all around perfect for us! We even got the chance to see dolphins in the ocean from our balcony one evening! We saw lots of birds, including hummingbirds from the balcony on a daily basis. This is an older home with a lot of history. Due to this, the kitchen and bathroom are on the smaller size. Definitely recommend to not rent a large car (SUV), the roads are narrow and tight in this area. We met the owner of the property and he was very nice and helpful. He gave us tips on places to eat close by. We loved the proximity to downtown La Jolla - it's easy to walk around and not have to worry about parking. Even the beach is a street away. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and if we go back to San Diego, we will return to this property. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!!
It is a beautiful property and location. Sunsets are great. And the walkability is amazing.
