ALMOST PERFECT. This house was just what we needed for our Christmas getaway and we definitely would come back. The house had plenty of room for my wife & me, both of our daughters and their spouses. We have two suggestion... 1) notes or notebook showing how to use the TVs, gas fireplace, etc. 2) higher quality toilet paper.
For the location, this was a great property and comfortable for out group who only stayed one night as we were going out on a charter the next morning. I did have a bit of a problem with the conflicting information between the website and the house. Nice dishwasher but no soap. Very little regular dish soap and no dish drainer but of course they want you to do the dishes. A rickety banister between upstairs and down and no stair lights on the outside of the house. Overflowing garbage cans but we're supposed to take out the garbage?
This beautiful home was well suited for our party of 5 adults and 5 kids. Plenty of space to spread out and relax, comfortable beds, short walk to the water. Would stay here again.
So much space for our group of teens. There are 4 bedrooms so some doubled up or sleep on couches. Super clean, no pet odors. We enjoyed the function of the house and the open setting allowed everyone to feel included during meals and conversation. We made use of the video game console and UNO. Be prepared for: COLD and not cozy. The furnace did not go above 60. Even with manual control turned up in the living room. THE FIREPLACE DID NOT WORK. I had to communicate with a chat bot that did nothing but apologize and send service tickets to the local team. No one from the local team contacted me. It was about 50 degrees outside with mostly heavy rain, a working furnace is essential. Some sun breaks were really beautiful through the many windows though. There are two vanity mirrors one in each bathroom, so bring yours if any of your guests need to groom and not hold up the bathroom. Bring blankets/hoodies unless you like a cooler indoor atmosphere. The bathtub is smaller then it looks, and sadly uncomfortable, I am 5'2 and there wasn't enough room to stretch out. And as someone else noted, the fridge does have a old fish smell the permeated into the personal candy bags stored in there. The huge sliding glass door upstairs would not unlock to open to the deck, which was not furnished after all. Books on the shelf about God and Christian life. I found a hilarious read: Food written by a comedian (also Christian). Not as described: Fireplace and deck seating
We had a amazing time at this lovley home it was so cozy and well kept we enjoyed every second
Stayed here with a group of friends for a casual surf trip. The location was perfect and the home was great for hosting dinner and playing boardgames.
We were really impressed with the location. It was an easy walk to the beach and close to town. The kids loved the bunk room. The only drawback to the bunk room was it was right next to the second bathroom, so we ended up sharing one bathroom most of the time to not disturb sleeping kiddos.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. It was comfortable, cozy and very well stocked. Loved the big deck! Less then a three minute walk to the beach was wonderful. So close to so many attractions.
Super quiet area, close to the beach. House was plenty big and was mostly clean. Our only issue was a very dirty coffee pot ( well really the filter, hadn't been cleaned out from whenever it was used last), but I was able to clean it up and make it usable for our stay. I would stay there again!
I came here for a weekend birthday trip with friends. There was plenty of space for everyone. The deck is so nice to sit out in the sumner! The house is well equipped with everything you’d need. It was very clean upon Checkin! Short walking distance to be at the private beach, less than 10 minutes.
This was a lovely house with lots of space for myself and spouse, my adult daughter and son, and a few of our grandchildren. The location, very near the beach, was perfect. It was a little hard to find (because google maps sent us in the wrong direction), but we figured it out. We would stay here again!
Great time.
The house is wonderfully located, beautiful, clean and well-stocked with whatever you might need. We had a great weekend!
The space was quite adequate for the ten of us. The kitchen had enough cookware and dishes. We loved the overstuffed chairs in the living room. The neighborhood was quiet.
Excellent place to stay !
This home is nicely nestled into the trees left on the property. Unlike many homes in the area the lot still contains a lot of the trees which give it a nice ambiance when in the upstairs great room. We had a great weekend walking to the beach and enjoying the accommodations.
We thought the house was nicer and bigger than expected from the photos. Very short walk to the beach and close to lighthouse/town. We had 3 adult couples each with a baby/toddler stay in each bedroom with us. Didn’t even utilize one of the sleeping spaces! Would recommend when coming to Westport!
Great place to stay.
Nice quiet location with easy beach access. We are a dog friendly family, but it seemed like the basement bathroom smelled like a dog spent a little too much time alone in there. Other than the dog smell in the basement bathroom, the was much enjoyed.
We have raised our kids adventuring and surfing in places like Westport so when our son wanted to celebrate his 18th birthday doing just that with friends we were thrilled. The house was perfect for our group, there was plenty of room to spread out for all of us and the layout was ideal for connecting. The beds were quite comfortable and the soaking tub was amazing. We enjoyed a bonfire at the beach the first night then rented wetsuits in town to introduce the kid’s friends to surfing the next day (they are hooked now?). We love Westport and thoroughly enjoyed staying in this comfortable home on this trip.
The only complaint we had is the fridge smelled of spoiled fish. Thank you
The house itself is great! It is lit with sun, close to the ocean, open plan makes it wonderful for families spending time together. It could be 5+ stars but… …However I took one star away for two reasons - lack of cleaning and unusable cookware. The house needs more thorough cleaning like behind the side tables or under the couch and wiping pictures frames especially in the kitchen where dust plus grease doesn’t look so pretty. The teflon pans and pots are scratched as it usually happens in rentals unfortunately. Luckily I brought my own so it wasn’t a problem. Overall we were very happy with our stay and possibly would come back.
