I loved the fact that the house is steps from the beach. Had nice view the ocean from inside the dining area and the deck. The house was located near the end of Nags Head away from the crowds. Open floor plan which made the Inside spacious. The home was clean, well equipped and ice was in the ice tray. I would recommend that the homeowner leave instruction on how to use the TV remotes. Two in the bedroom and two in living room. We couldn't get the remotes to work in the bedroom.
Ocean views Short walk to beach clean and roomy Washer dryer a plus
We had an amazing time at this home on our trip. The proximity of the beach was truly perfect and the beach was not very crowed at all. The location was also near restaurants and attractions that gave us lots of fun things to do when we were out and about. We would love to stay here again! Just can’t say enough great things about this beach house!
This was the perfect home for a small family. Extremely well maintained, very quaint and perfectly located. In a quiet area of the Outer Banks and perfect for a getaway. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again!
I will start with the good stuff first. The location of the cottage is perfect, you are feet away from the beach! I also loved that there was an outdoor shower and water spigot to wash off your feet. The inside of the cottage was very small but nice. The water pressure was amazing and the water stayed hot. They even had board games! It was also very nice that they allow dogs. So, for the not so great things. The place wasn't super clean when we arrived. The floors needed to be swept and mopped, the dishwasher was full of someone else's dirty dishes, and there was a not so great smell when we first walked in the door. We're not really sure what it was. The provided toiletries were very cheap, for a stay that was 2,xxx.xx+, I would have thought the paper towels and toilet paper would have been of a little better quality. Though we appreciated the mini shampoo & conditioner bottles, we were not given enough for our entire stay. There were 4 small bottles (2 each) for 5 people for a 3 night 4 day stay. Since the weather was really bad during our stay, the stairs got covered so badly with sand that we struggled to get up and down the stairs safely; a couple of us almost fell down the stairs several times. We do understand that the owners cannot control the weather, but it would have been nice to have some sort of shovel or outdoor broom that we could have used to clean off the stairs. The neighbors had someone come to clean off their stairs & walkway. Overall we did enjoy our stay
Our first time to OBX this was a perfect spot for our family of 4. Location perfect to the ocean, Kitty Hawk, and Bodie lighthouse. Enjoyed the area.
The cottage was clean tidy, and charming! It is very close to the beach and has a great view despite being the third house in. We stayed in early April, and a couple of days were extremely windy with rain showers. However, the cottage was quiet and cozy when we we were done with our outside adventures!
Very clean, easy access to beach. Beautiful ocean views
Nice location but the inside the house needs more updates .
Attractive well maintained cottage with great view of ocean. Downside was beach renourishment construction equipment and huge line of pipes on beach blocking usage for several days. Also, cabinets under kitchen and ensuite had moisture problems and odor. Ensuite shower had black mold in front left corner which I cleaned with clorox. Steps were partially covered with sand as was parking pad and walk to stairs. No salt/pepper or any spices and very limited glassware. Most cooking utensils were thrown into an upper cabinet. I had to clean and organize kitchen to make it functional! The poor quality of exterior cleaning and interior moisture problem marred a very nice cottage! Have been renting on OBX since 1988 and before that owned rental cottage in Kitty Hawk. So, I know what renters need and expect.
Had trouble communicating with vacasa. We actually left a day early. No issue just had something come up. Sent email twice. Tried to check out on app and was unsuccessful
