5 different households converged on the Bayside Secret for a few days of family connection. We didn’t have need of one thing!! The Bayside Secret is a fully functional home! Everything we needed was available (mixing bowls, serving spoons, knives, etc) which made meal preparation and execution so smooth. We also had plenty of room to have various activities going on as well as splintered conversations allowing for familial catch up. We went for runs and used the available kayaks more than once. There were plenty of towels available and even some lap blankets for the chilly evening.
Quiet and private with gorgeous views. Between bad cell reception and lack of communication and concern from the management company, we were unable to get assistance finding answers to questions/access to amenities
Beautiful home, although not baby proofed for 2 toddlers. A lot of breakable home decor that we had to move to keep the kids from getting hurt. Loved the remote location. Dock that guests can use is in very shallow water, had a difficult time with our boat. No power at the dock either so had to pull the boat each day to power up the trolling motor. Luckily the public boat ramp is very close by.
Gorgeous setting with spacious house, beautiful deck.
The scenery, wildlife, and grounds in general were top notch.
The location of this property on Lac Vieux Desert offers amazing views and good fishing. The owners have generously made this house a home by decorating and providing comforts of home plus fully stocked kitchenware. Our only issue with Vacasa, which was big, is that the home was not cleaned when we arrived. The cleaning crew did not arrive until after the 4:00 pm check in. The home is in need of maintenance and a deep cleaning that seems to have been overlooked. Broken screen doors, cobwebs, carpet cleaning, and garage door opener not working. The basement bed needs a new Queen mattress as it sinks in. It is a great home, and would give it 5 stars if these issues were addressed.
This was a last minute spring break getaway. The house was roomy and had all the amenities we needed. The location of the home is great with its view of the lake it was frozen and snow/ice covered during our visit , nonetheless view was great.
We were a group of 7 adults and 4 kids (7-12 years) and this house was perfect for us; large enough to space out yet still get cozy as a group when we wanted to. We stayed in early January and the ice was covered in so much slush we couldn't use our ATV and UTV for ice fishing and had to rent snowmobiles. Luckily there is a place right next door that could help us out. Having those also made access to the lake from the house much easier since it's a steep hill and there was great fishing very close to the house. As for the house itself - it was clean and well maintained. The kitchen and bar have everything you could ever need. There were a lot of private locked cabinets which is why were were shocked to find the wine cellar was unlocked. We figured it was a trap and left it alone. The only issue we had was that the room we expected to have the babysitter sleep in no longer had beds it in (and it isn't really a room). Now instead of a space with 2 twin beds it is a seating area with a pull out bed. It makes sense but a pull out is never that comfortable so we just moved one of the twins out of the big room and into that space and it worked out perfectly. We had a great time and are looking forward to going again.
Loved the views and location. Perfect to jump on the lake for snowmobile rides and fishing. Great views of bald eagles as well.
The place was beautiful, quiet , lake was very quiet also. Our Family of 13 stayed. We were not able to use the bedroom and bathroom in the basement due to mold, standing water and black mold, not healthy for anyone. The room with all the twin beds has black mold on the bottom of the walls. Also there was black mold spots around the ceiling in the big bathroom upstairs. We found no dish cloths or towels, no coffee filters had to got out early Sunday morning to buy them. Area rug in the main living room is a tripping hazard. We did call Vacasa and Steve came out within 3 hours, ( these issues are not a quick fix ) he did offer to move us , but it would of been to a different area. (Steve was great). We stayed the week and made some great memories, fishing, smoked a brisket, pork butt, fish and just bring together as a family. Liz
This house is beautiful. Nothing but great things to say. I've stayed here 4 years in a row and wouldnt stay anywhere else.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Clean, beautiful views and plenty of outstanding space inside and out.
This place was everything we could ask for in a vacation home. Thanks to the property owners for sharing their slice of heaven with us. We truly enjoyed our stay here.
This is a wonderful house with beautiful lake front and views. The interior is exquisite!
The house was roomy and had all the amenities we needed. The location of the home was spectacular with its view of the lake, grassy lawn and privacy! Best lake house we’ve rented in a long time!
We had a very nice time in this beautiful rental. Everything needed was there except a beach was mentioned and did not find this for the kids. Enjoyed kayaking and wave runners which we rented from Eagle River which was also an easy ride for shopping and things to do. Recommend this rental and hoping to return.
We had a wonderful time- the house is great- clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The outside of the property is beautiful- awesome views of the lake, bald Eagles, fire pit and very nice deck furniture. We had a wonderful time- my husband and I, 3 adult sons, 1 girlfriend and our dog.
Wonderful home, beautiful deck with scenic view of lake. Hummingbirds feeding on deck a plus!
The cabin was great for our family and friends. The view of the lake was amazing!! Enjoyed the lake by relaxing at the sand bar, cruising to enjoy the sunsets, and the boys did great fishing!! This was our 2nd time here and we will be back next year!!
Wonderful property - definitely hope to rent again!
