Great location! It was quiet and peaceful.. Prickett rentals were great and easy to work with.

I had to report a bug in the sink but they immediately sent someone to spray . But it was clean , we loved being to walk down to the beach and the veiw was amazing.

Prickett Properties is a pleasure to work with. They are always available to answer any questions and the office staff is friendly and helpful. This year we needed assistance to help carry in our belongs due to health issues and they were able to provide that service. Leroy from maintenance is always attentive and helpful. We enjoy our time at Dune Refuge which is comfortable and has everything we need in a home. We are looking forward to returning next year!! The only problem that we had was the vacuum needed repair or replacing (the roller bush would not rotate). Loved the new stove. Owner may consider replacing the dishwasher as the racks are rusting out.

The kitchen set up was fine. I have wanted to stay at this place for years and have walked the beach and boardwalk many times. It’s a bit isolated, no close neighbors and my entire family thought it was awesome!

The beach views were absolutely stunning. We stayed for 10 days and didn't want to leave when our vacation came to an end!

It was our ninth year traveling to Dune Refuge and didn't disappoint! You can walk right outside of the house to the board walk to get to the beach for all day fun. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets can be seen from the wrap around deck of the house. Perfect location to take long walks on the beach, and to the east trails through the bird sanctuary to the lagoons and lake.

This property is gorgeous. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed an extra day! The view to the ocean is obstructeded by a large bush which does takeaway some of the view, but not all of it. It didn't ruin our stay by any means. That is our only complaint. The boardwalk to the beach is brand new and very nice. Sure helps when you have multiple carts. We will definitely go back again when in the area. Cannot say enough about the customer service, that is a huge plus. Jason, Kim, Lorri and Jim

No issues with the house itself and we overall enjoyed our stay. Prickett Properties was responsive and accommodating, we would rent through them again! As far as the surrounding area of this property, I do want to point out that the beach access beside the house is public and frequently used! The public access/walkway also runs beside the master bedroom, so you can hear noise from people just talking who are walking by (especially local fishermen who arrive before 6AM - so keep that in mind). Additionally, the trash cans for the community and beach are all right outside this house across the street and created a smell. We also encountered a storm during our stay and a lot of trash was then blown by the wind onto the property from the trash cans being left open by others.

The location was wonderful; very short walk to beach. Weekends and holidays there are many people who access the beach at this location but it is still not crowded; weekdays are very quiet and usually only a few people. The house is nice.Unfortunately, the house had many unresolved issues, such as damage to walls, back door and doorknob needs replacing or repair, incomplete wiring repairs in kitchen area; extremely slow draining bathtubs; rusty dishwasher with sprung door and detergent compartment door not releasing detergent in cycle. The cleanliness was severely lacking. I had to clean the kitchen sink and upstairs bathtub. The walls and baseboards are dusty and dirty. The house was not in a condition that warranted the price we paid.Management has been made aware of these issues and I believe intends to address them.

We loved the location, we had a very relaxing and peaceful time. It was just what we needed.

We had a wonderful time at Dune Refuge! The house had everything we needed. There is a public beach access next to the house, but the beach did not feel crowded at all. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house but needs TLC. There were electrical issues and the AC could not keep it cool. They were working on the boardwalk so getting to the beach was a pain. Didn't make anybody's list to stay again.

It was perfect in every way! Spacious, quiet location and gorgeous view! My family had an amazing time. We will be back!Thank you.

This house is on the edge of a nature preserve, so it is very quiet and secluded. We got the beach in front of the house to ourselves most days. Watching the Gulf from the porch was wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

Needed a last minute getaway and this property checked all the boxes. Secluded, incredible views and peaceful. Communication with the host was outstanding. We will be back.

The house was great! It was clean with lots of room and great views of the ocean. There really aren't any neighbors close by so you felt like you had the beach to yourself. We will definitely be back!

Great trip & Prickett Properties was terrific to deal with. The house served our needs perfectly & the views were incredible. Very non commercial area. The beach was nice & many great restaurants were close. Prickett also recommended High Waves for beach chair rentals, etc. & they were top notch! Excellent service & I definitely recommend using them for any beach needs you have. Excellent trip all around & already planning to go back!

The house was beautiful. We loved the set up with the 2 sets of stairs and wrap around porch. It was just beautiful. The beach was not crowded at all. We went with 4 adults, 6 children ages 15-5, and 2 dogs! We had a BLAST! REALLY wish that the walkway from the house to the beach was fixed. I had read about this in the reviews prior to leaving on our trip, and the construction guys were still there, and they DO start early. You can hear the beeping of the equipment when they back them up. Woke us up multiple days. It is quite a hike to the beach having to use the detour since the walkway is out. Also, I was really disappointed about the huge bush/tree/shrubbery that was directly off the back porch completely obstructing the view of the ocean. Overall, the property was great. We did contact Maintenace on the very last day because there was moisture accumulating on the ceiling of the downstairs master bedroom. Turns out the July humidity was making the AC pipes sweat. Overall experience was great. Would stay again. Prickett Properties was also amazing and helped with payment issues and anything else we needed! Great folks! Thanks, from Oklahoma!
