Stayed Jan 13, 2024We loved the home and the beautiful view of the canal behind the house. The owner was easy to communicate with via text and she responded quickly. The house was completely renovated after the hurricane so everything was brand new. The street where the house is located is on one of the busiest on Sanibel and all the construction traffic created backups in front of the house at least two to three hours every afternoon. There were no blinds or shades at the front of the house so the living room and kitchen were in clear view of the road which was particularly bothersome when there was a lot of traffic and at night - we felt like we were always on display. Also, the side door coded lock didn’t always work so renters should always take the key with them. The house rental does not included the use of the garage so our truck got filthy. The master bedroom closet was locked so we did not have access which was disappointing and a bit inconvenient since we had no place to store suitcases except in the bedroom. The pool is very small and odd shaped so it’s more of a float pool. Overall, the house is beautiful but we would not rent it again.
