Listing incorrect, wrong entry code, well worn interior, no instructions, had to call for entry code and internet password, lower level bathroom sink had no hot water, yard not maintained, lawn overgrown. Unit needs some care and updating. Our stay was fine, nice beach and great views of downtown Seattle, we made the best ot it.
It was a really beautiful view and great access to the beach but the amenities, cleaning supplies, and kitchenware was not adequate for the amount of people listed on the posting.
No coffee maker, shower doesn’t drain, lighting on the stairs is horrible and dangerous, the place is shabby, not sheik!
This house was so filthy and run down. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower curtain was full of black mold and the bathroom smelled like pee. The toilet barely flushed. No hot water in the sinks. The kitchen had no coffee pot. Half of the kitchen drawers were falling out. The ceiling has huge holes with big broken pieces barely holding on. The dryer handle is broken so they wedged some kitchen tongs in it to open it up. Half of the lights and lamps in the house didn’t work so it was extremely dark. The linen closet was a bunch of bedding just thrown in on the floor. Nothing folded or neat. The whole place was disgusting. Super unacceptable. The view was amazing and is the only silver lining of the place.
We had a lovely stay- Thank you!
We had an absolute blast, did not want to leave. The view is absolutely incredible and the private shared beach was so fun. Big windows, epic view. I couldn't figure out how to lock the front door from the inside or get the internet to work but we had decent cell coverage (Tmobile) and the DirectTV worked for the football games. Clutch. The thermostat was hidden away but the temp was just right (we like it on the warmer side- we're from CA) and there was an optional wood stove. A simple seasoning kit would've been great but we should've packed our favorites. This picture showed a Keurig which left me holding my k cups lol ah well, did fine without coffee. There was a drip machine but no grounds. Left my ice cream on the counter...sorry, meant to grab that. Missed it on the ferry lol. A light over the dining table would be really nice but it's splitting hairs. I have never wanted to swim to Seattle so bad...really felt possible. People were out snorkling and it's January. Amazing. I could've spent an entire day just mesmerized watching the ocean and all the different things happening. Super cool. I almost want to leave a bad review to keep this hidden gem ...well...hidden. But, that would mean others miss out on the joy we had, which would be a crime. The place was super clean and basic (outdated charm) which fit our young family perfectly (nothing for them to get into). It was easy to tell them not allowed in the kitchen with the layout. Didn't use the W/D or dishwasher can't speak to those. Fyi, no one was above us and if it was our family with loud ass toddlers stomping around upstairs and a single couple or the like down below on a different schedule (not up at 7am daily) I could foresee some frustration as I could feel my kids walking around on their heels on the ground floor. Not sure if the top floor rents out or if kept private. A bonfire pit with some real wood (not store bought bundle that stuff is awful) and a couple better lounge chairs would've been super clutch and upgraded this place big time. There was a BBQ. I just bought a sweet portable fire pit with cover on ebay with stars and moon cutouts- would've been sweet. A little house manual would've been helpful, seemed like Monday was trash day lol, I love having the opportunity to be helpful. Wow the rock man figure by the castle on the road in was super cool. Did I mention we had a blast? What a find. Thank you for all of you who manage this place....Big thanks to you.
What a beautiful place to visit! I had a wonderful stay and am in love with Bainbridge. Highly recommend stay for a getaway!
First of all, this place has an amazing view of the Seattle skyline and the water, just fabulous. But that’s about it...bbq grill doesn’t work, wifi doesn’t work, cable doesn’t work, toilet barely flushed, kitchen sinks are dirty....we also had one of the plastic sheets covering the lighting almost fall on my head when the bedroom door was being closed. There were empty beer and soda cans. The list goes on. On the other hand, clean towels, ample bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo etc.). This place has a lot of potential, just needs some care.
The view was great but that was the only good aspect. The house was not clean and seems housekeeping only did half of the job with soiled linens in the kitchen and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Lots of problems, toilet not working, no hot water in bathroom sink, lights not working making it quite dark in evening, Wi-Fi not working as well as TV. The worst part was the lack of response and follow up from Vacasa. Calls were given the standard we’ll check into it and get back to you. Then when I called back there was no “ticket” or limited notes on the case. I had to call 4 times to finally get a response and resolution. A lot of wasted time to clean up the kitchen, trouble shoot the bathroom and call customer service. This also took away from family time. The last person was finally helpful but a $25 refund for amenities and partial cleaning fee refund was hardly enough to make up for all this hassle. We did not get what we paid for. Beware poor customer service.
Aside from the view, the house did not live up to expectations. Everything about the place was rickety; stairs, outdoor benches and railings, etc. A dining room chair was obviously already broken upon our arrival, And the house overall Was not very poorly maintained. Additionally, two critical amenities (the BBQ and Internet) did not work during our stay. Fortunately, Vacasa was very helpful in trying to find a solution, and the representatives were prompt and courteous while delivering the bad news about not being able to BBQ or use the web. Overall, three stars based on the view and service from Vacasa, but I’ll likely stay elsewhere next trip!
