Our Oceanfront Beach Duplex:

Hazel`s Child Oceanfront Beach House has 6 bedrooms and 5 full baths. The whole home is beautifully furnished with a great coastal vibe, and comes with all the bells and whistles. Our bed arrangement can accommodate any group type from families to golfers, community organizations, sports teams, and more! Families and groups alike come to our home year after year for its great vacation and spacious design.



Our beach house is comprised of two fully separate 6 bedroom beach homes Hazel`s Child and Hazel`s Child 2. If you have a large group you can rent both houses for maximum convenience and comfort.  Both sides are fully contained and offer identical panoramic ocean views and fantastic comfort and privacy of your own beach paradise. 



Amenities:

Amenities in our home are second to none. It has two stories, and both floors are incredibly spacious and each feature an expansive living area overlooking the beach and ocean. With hard wood flooring and plenty of space, our home features fantastic natural lighting and plenty of space throughout. Enjoy high ceilings, and an open floor plan that flows from the kitchen to the living room. The home has an open layout perfect for mingling and enjoying the company of friends and family. The bedrooms are big and all have flat screen TVs. Everyone can spread out and watch their favorite show after a day of sun and fun by the and beach. Surf the web and check in at home courtesy of our complimentary wireless internet (Wi-Fi).

Enjoy the STUNNING PANORAMIC OCEAN AND PIER VIEWS from our upstairs sun deck, or cool off and in the shade of our downstairs deck – our home truly has something for everyone. There is a washer and dryer as well, and plenty of parking (4 spaces). 



Picnic and Grill Area:

Our beautiful home has a great coastal feel, and its crowning jewels are the stunning views of the ocean to be enjoyed throughout the home. Enjoy a meal from our dining area with plenty of seating, or grill out in our shaded picnic and grill area on the patio. There is nothing more relaxing than a true cheeseburger in paradise after playing in the ocean all day. Soak up the sun, sip a cocktail in the shade, and enjoy a well deserved vacation with a gorgeous backdrop! Enjoy your own private beach party every day at our beach house, and then catch an afternoon siesta in one of our lounge chairs.

Wear and Tear:

Our customer satisfaction is #1 priority, please understand, this property is not a primary residence and the guests should not expect to stay in a brand new home or brand new amenities.

The wear and tear is high due to the number of guests, back to back reservations and limited time between reservations.



Cleaning:

The cleaning is done by a professional cleaning company. If they missed something we will be happy to send them over to fix.



Service calls and maintenance:

Emergency service calls such as leaks, HVAC, flood and fire will have first priority and will be provided by a 3rd party service provider, based on their schedule and availability. We cannot guarantee speed of repair specifically when it comes to HVAC issues or major appliances. Although we do our best to provide the fastest solution possible.

*Pet Policy: Dogs only, no other pets allowed.

*Dog Policy: Maximum 2 dogs 30 pounds or less each or 1 dog 60 pounds or less..and they stay for free!

    we loved that the property was ocean front however the property needs some TLC. Several door knobs were loose or falling off, my husband had to fix them. One of the beds had yellow stains on the mattress cover, almost every shower curtain has mildew on it, one of the sinks was clogged and the bath rugs look like they have been around for years. The main doors were very hard to open - perhaps from swelling do to the stifling humidity and the carpet had several mysterious stains. I was told the property had a blender but it didn't so we had to purchase one. The location is nice only a short walk to the pier. Communication was sparse so if you have questions you need to as FAR in advance. Carolina Palms was not responsive to my calls or emails - I went to the owner for questions.

    Check in was a hassle. Hosts did not respond to messages through VRBO and did not send us their secondary check-in information so we had to call and leave a message at their office.We made the reservation assuming there were 4 parking spots. The listing says 3 spots and 4 spots in different places, but the pictures clearly show 4 labeled parking spots. Check in instructions stated multiple times that there were only 3 spots. Hosts did not respond to messages asking about additional parking nearby.The interior has active mold and holes in the wall. Our group killed 4 cockroaches that were roughly the size of my thumb.Beds release an ungodly screech when you sit on them or move in the night.Location is great, literally the only positive

    This house is in a great location and that is about the only positive thing about it. It is in terrible need of renovation and cleaning. Furniture is horribly used and dirty, beds creak like they are 100 yrs old. One guest found what looked like bedbugs in their bed. Downstairs bathroom has a leak in the ceiling from the bathroom above it. Upstairs deck has rusty popped screws and boards feel soft to walk on. Multiple mold spots on ceilings with terrible patch jobs like painted tape and TISSUES stuck in holes in the ceiling. Over all feels like the absolute cheapest materials available were used and the sloppiest workmanship done in the interior. No furniture in spaces that could be used like the Upstairs kitchen. Only 3 parking spots available when the space is obviously for a group stay. Back yard is full of weeds and sandspurs.Very disappointed for the price.

    We just returned from a 5-day stay straddling Memorial Day weekend. Appreciate that the property is dog-friendly. Overall everything was excellent. The location and configuration of the duplex was perfect for a multi-family stay. Three bedrooms upstairs and three downstairs. Plenty of bathrooms. Small kitchen space upstairs with a small fridge. Full kitchen downstairs. Main pro was the awesome location and being right on the beach; we made use of renting beach chairs and umbrellas daily from the number listed at the house. That was great. Despite check-in saying no supplies were provided, we found the house did supply toilet paper, bath soaps, dish soap, and hand soap. Listing said the house has four parking spaces, but there were only three (fine for us but maybe for others it wouldn’t be enough since the house sleeps so many). Main cons were; all the bedrooms are on the front (street) side of the house, so sleeping on busy nights was very noisy (motorcycles, cars, sirens, etc.). Maybe bring a sound machine. WiFi was sketchy. The primary (queen) bed on the second floor needs a new mattress (very squeaky, hard, and developing a dip in the middle). Would have appreciated a slightly later check out time (ours was 10 am). Very small tweaks would make it perfect. Our extended family had a great stay.

    We vacationed with three generations of our family. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us! We enjoyed the open floor plan of the downstairs! The house was so close to the beach and so handy for running back and forth with little ones. The house had everything we needed! We will definitely reserve this house again!

    Great property. Lot of room to spread out. So many bathrooms! Easy walk to the beach and shower to rinse off. Top porch had beautiful sunrise photo views. Lot of extras in the kitchen. No need to bring crockpots or soap. Very easy accommodations. Parking garage a block away for extra cars. Fabulous location.

    There were seventeen of us so we rented both sides of this property. The properties combined had MORE than sufficient space for us - we bounced back and forth between the two all weekend. There were NO issues with the property that we were not aware of before check-in. The communication with the host was great and they responded very quickly to any questions we had throughout the rental process. The home is exactly as it appears in the photographs, and was exactly what we expected in a beachfront rental property. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again! PLEASE NOTE - when you plug the property address into Waze or GPS, make sure you specify NORTH Myrtle, as we did have a little mishap and landed at the wrong address when trying to find this location - that was OUR user error, and has nothing to do with the host - I just wanted to save the headache for any future renters!

    Location was great. Home had some issues, but it was well used. Poor instruction for TV, appliances, and trash removal. Difficult to reach Carolina Palms mgt. company. However, for the most part a good time was had by all.

    The location is everything!! And anytime we needed something the property manager responded immediately. We had 5 kids ranging from 1-10 and they had a great time! Recommended!!
