DIRECT OCEAN FRONT, Newly Remodeled, 7 BDRM, 5.5 bath, Hot tub, beach access

Beautiful clean home with lovely beach view and massive deck. Good kitchen for cooking. Nice sharp knives and good quality Hexclad pans. Dining table accommodated 14 people.Back door handle was broken off so you couldn’t get back in. Toaster oven timer switch was broken. Second dishwasher was nonfunctional. For the high rental price, all those things should work.

The location of this house was the best. We couldn’t have been happier with the beach access and safety of the neighborhood. The house is fine and would be good for large groups, but I would not rate it as luxury.

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Lots of room for everyone. The broken frig door shelves and the door knob on the back door are still an issue that others mentioned. We had to refill the propane in Pacific City and the grill needed some heavy cleaning but at least we knew in advance this would be an issue. Great access to the beach and amazing view.

What a weekend! Main water line in the neighborhood broke. No water. Katie was very accommodating and found a neighboring house we could use for showering and kept in great contact with me regarding the water situation. Never did get it back on but a great time was had by all of our group.

The beach view and access are amazing! We, surprisingly, ended up with nice weather. Sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view was wonderful. We also took a really nice hike. The house is spacious and had enough room for everyone. Everyone enjoyed it very much. We only had a couple of issues, the gate code we were given didn't work, but the property management company responded very quickly. The cleanliness of the hot tub was the other issue, but they resolved that by sending someone out. All issues were resolved in a timely manner. We will definitely be staying in this house again.

The house is spacious with an amazing view and beach access.The low rating is due to 2 issues. The first is we were called 45 mins ahead of check-in that we had to sign an agreement in order to get the codes to the house. Normally, I wouldn't feel comfortable signing a separate agreement without having time to review, but we had family waiting there for the codes to check in and at this point, we didn't have another option. The second is that the main reason we chose this house is for the oceanfront hot tub. When we arrived for our 2-night stay, the hot tub was at 66 degrees and we had to reach out to the mgmt company, who then informed us that the hot tub wasn’t working earlier and an electrician had to fix it. Given how long it takes a hot tub to heat up, we knew it wouldn’t be available for our first night. The next day, the hot tub was completely broken and we learned it wouldn’t be repaired for our stay. This is an expensive rental, and we requested a partial refund that reflected the value of the hot tub. Instead we were offered a comical refund (which was never paid to us) and their solution was to use another hot tub in the area-not feasible for our large group, mostly over 70 and a 3-year old, to travel to use another hot tub then travel back soaking wet in the middle of a hail and rain storm.We understand these things happen, but we should have been given a heads up that we would be arriving to the house with a broken amenity and offered a solution up front.

They required a DocuSign late the night before I left and would not give check-in info without an extra Docusign contract. Never have seen that before. Maybe they don’t trust VRBO. Must be an institutional owner with a group of attorneys. The house itself was fine and had the bedrooms as stated. Would be awesome if at least more than one room had single beds as old men don’t really like sharing a bed together. Air conditioner did not work. There were no cranks to open the windows to get fresh air. Never had to wash my own sheets when we left. Kitchen was in complete disarray with no organization. Only one wine glass in the whole house. Otherwise, it met our needs very well, except for the parking was very difficult. Had to carpool from another location in Neskowin. If somebody owned the house I would congratulate them, but this appears to be investors after just making money. Didn’t like the threat of extra charges and eviction. Very heavy-handed. House location is awesome. Love the beach and grew up at Neskowin. No response from the management company so if I get charged extra, I will fight it. We left the house immaculate with washers going. Definitely more expensive than any house our group has rented.

The home is beautiful with an extraordinary location. Couple of suggestions: It would be awesome to have a leaf blower to blow the sand off the front deck. The two living-room couches need to be updated - they are falling apart and don't smell very clean. The shower curtain in the downstairs bathroom near the bonus room needs a new shower curtain as the current one has some mold growing on it.Not trying to be negative, just wanting to be honest. We loved staying at this home and would book it again tomorrow. If I owned the home, I would like to know what I could do to make it better and keep my guests coming back.

The house is beautifully arranged for a large group like ours. There are so many spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of places to gather together and lots of spaces to get away for privacy. The deck is fabulous for eating, getting some sun, watching the sunset. the location is unbeatable. But the house was not clean. So much sand everywhere. windows were difficult to open, one window is hanging on a hinge and should be repaired. The back door lock was broken and we could not lock it while we were there. When we arrived the alarm was sounding, which was a bit difficult because it was pouring rain which is of course nobody's fault. It just made it all more unpleasant. The kitchen was quite sandy and needs to be organized. I know this sounds like so many complaints, but the house needs some attention. I would come back to this house because of the space and location. But for the price, I would expect cleaner carpet, less chipping paint, and generally better maintenance.

The host of this property canceled on our party of 17 less than 24 hours prior to our check-in despite having booked it five months in advance. We had paid in full, we had signed all of our contracts, and everything looked like it was a go until the very last minute when they said that there needed to be deck repairs scheduled. What was even worse was that I had been in touch with the property management company hours prior and there was no mention of cancellation. we had 12 people coming from out of state for my father‘s 80th birthday and it was an incredible stress to find out that the host was canceling our booking 20 hours before check-in. I could never recommend this property management company or this host.

Great location, house was laid out great and clean. Need hand towels for bathrooms. But overall everything was great.

The owner was kind and communicative. We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful home and location!

This is a tricky review as the location, views and space of this house are AMAZING! We absolutely loved the access to the beach and the beautiful views.Positives:* VIEW*Location*Amount of bedrooms/bathrooms-they were all really private as well*Kitchen was well stocked-nice to have double ovens and double dishwashers*plenty of disposable items-ie paper towels, tp , soap etc.Negatives:*Everything just felt a little bit dingy and 'on the fritz'*BBQ was GROSS-we spent 30 minutes just burning stuff off and cleaning in order to use*dishwashers were nice to have, but the door didn't close on one of them and the other one ran SO loud and long-it was impossible to use during the day*Check in process took MANY texts, docusigns etc just to get the code to the house. The contract says two days prior-but didn't end up getting it until 24 hours before check-in. Plus, 4:30 check in and a 10:00 am check out are not standard.*the absolute worst was when we got into the house, we found mice droppings on the pillows in our room-when we contacted management-their response was Gross! Orkin is supposed to be spraying. No real apology or compensation.

Our group of 11 had plenty of room. The gathering space on the main floor comfortably held all of us while doing different activities—cooking, putting together a puzzle, watching sports, and watching the waves crash.

Only thing of concern was a few things that needed fixing and wasn’t quite as clean as we thought It would be. But a nice place to stay and we’ll do it again.

Beautiful setting and access to the beach can’t be beat. Plenty of room for our family of 17. The biggest disappointment was our planning to use the advertised grill for meals and discovered the grill was not only too dirty to cook on (we have pictures) but the propane and starter did not work. A little maintenance could go a long ways. No handles on windows to open or the windows did not lock on some we could open. Some window screens had holes. A smoke detector was beeping when we arrived. Batteries we found in a drawer did not work. The door handle from the kitchen to the deck would routinely fall off when using the door. A deck board was raised which caused a tripping hazard. Written information needs to be updated to match information sent online. The home accommodated our annual family beach trip well but for the cost I would expect a little more attention to detail. Not sure if we will return.
