Stayed Mar 7, 2022First thing we noticed when we arrived was the garbage can was overflowing right beside the driveway. Not a good first look. No TV in one of the bedrooms……who gets that room becomes a discussion. Only a small one in the twin bedroom. No cable or satellite service; just a TV with a power cord hanging down. We streamed, so not a huge deal. It was extremely frustrating having to share one remote for the ceiling fans/lights because only one worked. Those types of fan/light combos only work with the remote. Switch on the wall is virtually useless. When someone turned the light on in one room, it would sometimes turn on another. Inconvenient when it is the middle of the night. No Keurig, or a full-size coffee pot. Only has a small one which is fine for one person, but it is a 4-bedroom house. Most people don't expect to have to bring one. Hot water temperature is basically warm water. Probably just needs to turn up thermostat on heater. Owner emphasized several times in messages about not disturbing the neighbors. An occasional drag race was performed down Mindanao Drive nightly, and they certainly didn’t seem to care who they disturbed. Only a small charcoal grill there. Not a big deal but again….needs updating/improvements. Having spent 35 years in the military, it made me extremely anxious to not get a door code until a couple hours out from our arrival time. It is a very simple thing to change codes on those locks and the owner could have given me a different code than anyone who may have been checking out the same day. My cell service was terrible coming down and I was very uncomfortable not knowing how to get in upon arrival. For the amount charged for a house that old, in that neighborhood, that far from the beach area, I can say that I will not be renting again. I was disappointed as soon as we pulled up. The owner seems like a nice person, but he is also a businessman, so I wanted to be honest on my experience. Just for a reference, we were there for the Players Golf Championship.

Stayed Nov 25, 2021Our family had a really good experience staying in your home. All nine of us fit very comfortably. The house all the features one could expect when staying away from home. We cooked our breakfast and made one dinner using the home’s kitchen. Very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed staying in this house and had lots of fun visiting the area Jacksonville beaches and St. Augustine.

Stayed Sep 24, 2021The house was beautiful. The only problem that I had was that the bedroom in the first room, had sand in the bed. We have to pay a cleaning fee and they obviously did not clean the sheets from the bed.

Stayed Jul 27, 2021We went to Jacksonville Florida so that our oldest daughter could compete in the Jr Olympics and this house worked for our family of 6. We had 2 adults and 4 children (ages 1 to 15) and my in-laws stayed 2 nights with us. Don't let the sight of the neighborhood full you. It is a nice quiet neighborhood that is older and the yards could use some TLC. The house apon arrival when we walked in we could tell that someone before us smoked because it had a light smell of smoke when walking in. It looked very clean when walking in. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen was well stock which made it easy to cook. The backyard was nice for our kids to play outside plenty of room. It was in a great location for us going back and forth to the university for the Jr Olympics. It wasn't to far to go enjoy the beaches. It was close to stores, restaurants and gas stations. If you have little ones you will want to pick up all the decorations and watch the shelves by the back door they are wobbly. When my husband picked up the table in the living room to move so I could lay our littlest one on the floor for a bottle one of the legs fell off. The house doesn't have a bath tub to bathe little ones in. I do recommend bring one. I got lucky and never leave home without our inflatable infant tub. If we return back to Jacksonville Florida we will most definitely rent this house again for its location and big family friendly size with plenty of room. The host was very friendly and kind and was always on top of any questions. We definitely made some family memories here!!
