The cottage is bright, warm, cheerful, and inviting, with tasteful artwork, matching decor, comfy beds, and a spacious kitchen, complete with island. It's the perfect crashpad for tech or personal travelers and it sleeps up to 4 people.

Guest Access:
Guests have complete and exclusive access to the entire two-bedroom cottage, the front porch, the carport, and the side yard.
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is typical of the classic older parts of Mountain View, with a mix of cute, tidy bungalows and newer, more modern homes. It's a very walkable neighborhood, and you'll encounter lots of people walking their dogs. Downtown Mountain View (on Castro Street) is two blocks away, as is Eagle Park, which has playgrounds for kids and a wide open field for dogs to roam and soccer players to dribble. You'll also see lots of cyclists, including parents bringing their kids to the nearby schools.
Getting Around:
The Caltrain and VTA stations are just a few minutes' walk away, from which you can get to San Jose in 20 minutes, and San Francisco in 35 to 70 minutes, depending on whether you catch a local or express train.
You're also near to major thoroughfares like El Camino Real, Shoreline, and highways 101, 85, 237, and 280 which makes this a very convenient location for all South Bay and Peninsula destinations, while San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, and Santa Cruz are only 45 minutes away, and wine country a further half hour.
These thoroughfares are far enough way from the home that there's minimal traffic noise.
While there are buses, in particular running along El Camino Real and Shoreline, this area is not known for public transit, so generally you'll need a car to get around, or you can take Uber or Lyft.
Other Things to Note:
This home had full-time occupants, including cats, until August 5, 2022. We have had the home deep cleaned, the vents have been cleaned, most furniture is new, we ran an ozone generator, and finally we aired out the place for a few days. All that said, if you're allergic to cats, this might not be the place for you.
The property manager lives in the neighborhood and is available 24/7.
