Deer Ridge Cottage | Pet Friendly Country Property

Great little hideaway for two, just 5 min from Luckenbach and a handful of wineries. Loved sitting on the patio overlooking The Valley for morning coffees and evening wines. Only annoyance was the fact that you have to go into Fredericksburg to pick up the key and again to drop it off. Seems like a realtor-style lockbox at the property would do the job just fine!

This place was beautiful. It had everything we needed. Came with some extras we didn’t expect. The hill country view is beautiful. Peace & Quiet. The place was cozy and comfortable. We are definitely going back.

We have been coming to this cottage for almost as many years as it has been available. It had been a while since our last visit, but we were very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it still is. We enjoyed our trip so much, did more cooking at home than we used to and found the kitchen very well equipped. But the porch is still the best place on the whole property! That view is something!

The heater would not work in the house. When my husband walked around outside he noticed parts for the unit were present. We managed to stay comfortable in our warm clothes and jackets. I failed to notice when I booked that fur babies are welcome; I am allergic to pets but fortunately did not have any issues. The front porch view is amazing. Very comfortable and we enjoyed preparing all our meals in the well established kitchen.

We have stayed at deer Ridge cottage several times. We have enjoyed it each and every time. The cottage is perfect for us. We loved staying at deer Ridge cottage. We love sitting on the front porch watching the Deers and other wildlife.

OMGOODNESS!! Look no further. This was a great cottage. It was so clean, well maintained, so comfortable, and I can go on and on. My husband was so impressed. All the switches were labeled so you didn't have to guess which switch turned on which light. That was a huge plus to me. The cottage is also close to the downtown Fredericksburg. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We saw deer walking around and jumping. Our pet loved this place. We rented this cottage so we could attend a wedding at Camp Hideaway (which was only 4 miles away). We actually thought about skipping the wedding to keep enjoying the front porch. We almost arrived late to the wedding. Ha Ha Ha The only regret I have was that I wish we could have stayed longer, but our life schedule wouldn't have permitted.

The property was clean and well stocked. Great location with beautiful views. The host even supplied dog treats, toys, beds and bowls. We especially enjoyed mornings on the back patio and evenings on the front porch watching the deer. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The house was so clean and so well stocked. It is hard to find houses that are pet friendly. This listing went over the top to welcome our fur babies?. The view was breathtaking. We will definitely return to this location again.

This cottage is immaculately clean and the property very well maintained. The view is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet. The amenities are impressive. Everything you need for toiletries, cooking or enjoying have been provided. Well done!! It's peaceful yet less than 15min from downtown. The bird and deer feeders are in a perfect location to enjoy the comfortable outdoor seating on this lovely porch, where we spent hours enjoying. This was our second stay and we loved it. Thank you! We will be back!!

This is so serene and beautiful. It is so peaceful. The house is great, the front porch is the best, kitchen is stocked with basics and we absolutely love this property. It's our favorite place in Fredricksburg.

The cottage is great! We love the front porch and rocking chairs and the view - amazing! Only one complaint that caused me to rate this a 4 instead of 5 - the gravel drive up to the cottage was a challenge. The steepness combined with the very uneven gravel made it difficult for our truck to ascend/descend. I wouldn't think of trying to get a car up the gravel. If the gravel were smoothed out to eliminate low and high spots, it would make a huge difference in getting up/down the gravel drive.
