It REALLY was BAD
The property was very nice. Fishing was marginable but the water was great. The only incident was with the claw foot tub. It was unbeliveably slick. We even bought a rubber mat for it. It didn't help. The wife used the standup shower but the husband refused to be deterred. For his efforts, he slipped and slid his way through the adventure. Unfortunately, we had to cut our time short and my wife and I had to drive them back to Kentucky Friday to seek medical attention, though it was unrelated to the tub. Saturday was used up driving us back to Florida. Please do not delay in fixing the tub situation. My daughter and her husband stayed there in June so I had plenty of notice concerning the tub. Overall, a great place to stay.
The simplest way to express how much we love this place, is to say that it was our 2nd stay here in four months and we will be returning again & again. We basically lived on the porch/deck/dock. Hopefully we will catch a fish one of these days.
We enjoyed this beautiful cozy home with our family for a few days. Felt right at home from the moment we opened the door. Private dock was a hit as well. Can’t wait to get back and relax once again.
This property is beautiful, so well-equipped, and an absolute pleasure to get to enjoy! The house is charming and comfortable while the grounds are spacious and private. We saw deer in the front and side yard and spent most of our time on the dock and in the crystal clear water. One of my favorite things was feeding the bream that would come out from under the dock. The host is easy to reach and all instructions are clear and easy to follow. We have already recommended this property to others and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Clean property with nice brand new dock
Even with mostly cloudy/rainy weather, we could not have enjoyed this property more. The photos & description of this vrbo vacation getaway are extremely accurate & we kept saying that we could live here - truly. Our 5th VRBO getaway & far & away, our most enjoyable. One lacks for nothing with this home & so many options for relaxing & taking in the views & sounds of nature. We WILL most definitely return....
Excellent, excellent, excellent!! We throughly enjoyed our stay. Couldn't have asked for better hosts. Place was clean and well cared for.
We loved our stay! Stephanie was very responsive and easy to work with. The house is spacious and is we’ll stocked. Beautiful view of lake from dock, and fire pit was a plus!
Our family stayed here on May 10 - 12, 2023 for my son's graduation from Clemson University. The location was a little bit of a distance from the campus, but perfect to get away from all the traffic and congestion around campus. It was so nice to come back to the lake house and do a little graduation celebration and enjoy the lake. We used the kayaks and fished a little bit. It was a beautiful house and so comfortable. We loved the back screened porch and dock area. They have a large kitchen with lots of kitchen utensils and nice coffee bar area. We would definitely plan to go back to the area.
We enjoyed our time together, the house was as described and met our needs. Kitchen was well stock with anything you needed. We had to contact Stephanie a couple of times and she got back with us in a timely manner. The dock was damaged but since our boat was in the shop for repairs it didn’t make a difference.
The house is fantastic but make sure to have $130 in cash before you leave. The dock is pretty awesome too. Nice deep water location. The closest ATM is 15 mins away btw.
Everything was great. My only concerns were the tub in main bathroom has no handle to get out of it and you can fall. It needs a step stool or something, it is not recommended for older people and another rail when walking to the dock instead of one side. I have already recommended this place to family and friends and I will love to come again.
Everything was great but the alarm system kept going off at night. I am sure it has been corrected. Great host and was propmt in responding
We came to Lake Hartwell for a family fishing Spring Break trip. The house was clean, well appointed, and cozy. We had a cool weather week, and the fish weren’t biting, but coming home to the Walker’s house made it better. Fires at night by the lake helped soothe the fishermen’s frustrations. We put the boat in and left it in the boathouse every night for the week with no problems. We ran 300’ of extension cords from the house to the boat to charge the batteries. It worked fine. We went in to Hartwell and ate at Southern Hart Brewery, which has margarita, Michelobe, and other drinks besides their brews. I would recommend! It was good. Walking around the neighborhood was nice, peaceful walk. 2 laps is a little over a mile. I would recommend this home and this owner in a Hart-beat!
This place was peaceful and perfect for our weekend reunion with friends. We would like to plan another stay during the summer so that we can enjoy the lake.
We were a group of 4 50-60 year old women who enjoyed this well appointed lake house. It was a quiet neighborhood with one of the best stocked kitchens ever. We found nothing that we needed and couldn’t locate. The hostess was great for communication. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It was simply lovely.
This location was great. We enjoyed staying here and really enjoyed the kayaking, with no one really in the lake it was smoothing paddling and seeing the area.
It was a great place to stay
The house was well equipped and super clean.
My family and I had the most wonderful time at Stephanie's sweet haven. The house was spotless; we had everything we needed for cooking, sleeping, playing, etc. LOVED having the paddle boards and the kayaks. The cove was so incredibly quiet and I just could not believe how lucky we were to find the perfect spot to unwind from the craziness of daily life. First time in years I was not itching to get back to my farm.
What an awesome property. The house was clean and very well maintained. Our family of 4 were very comfortable in the this home. The screened in porches were excellent for relaxing. The kayaks and paddle boards were a great added bonus. The driveway could be a bit tricky if you have a boat, but we figured it out. We will definitely stay again!
Wanted a place on the lake for my family for Memorial Weekend and this place was perfect. Online pictures did not do it justice. Super cute. Loved the screened in porches, kayaks and paddle boards
Very relaxing weekend trip! Great communication with owner and no issues! Thank you!
