~ This is the Black Hills of South Dakota, so be prepared to see wildlife outside. Make sure all doors or screens are kept shut to keep them outside.
~ This property is close to Cliff Street, which is also Highway 85. While the speed limit is only 25 MPH, some road noise is a possibility.
~ We will not override our cancellation policy due to weather, particularly lack of snow for skiing & snowmobiling, or too much rain causing muddy ATV/UTV trails. We have tried everything in our power to control the weather, but apparently there is not an app for that yet.
Great location will be coming back
Had a great stay. Would stay again
It was a very enjoyable time. We had several deer in yard and lots of rabbits. The stream was great as I like to listen to the sound of water in nature. The weather was wonderful for riding in the Hills, which was what we wanted. The only damper on the weekend and you had nothing to do with that is Deadwood's ridiculous parking meter system, as apparently the city of Deadwood doesn't already get enough already from us tourists.......but I digress. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you
Nice, comfy place but not trailer friendly luckily we were the only people there for the week. Loved watching the deer every morning and listening to the rolling creek. All the amenities made for a stress free stay.
Super cozy and plenty of space for hanging out and making meals. Bigger than the pics make it look
Great property in the ideal location. The cabin was clean and well stocked with pantry items. Super smooth check in and all around great trip!
Easy to find and just the perfect spot to get around the Hills. Cabin is private and has everything plus more! Loved it!
Better than advertised. Great central location for our wanderings. Unadvertised bonus of a vintage motorcycle gathering at Lodge next door. Thanks for the detailed directions to cabin
We traveled as a family and enjoyed Deadwood and the Blackhills. The little cabin was comfortable and and great place to stay.
Our family of four loved the cabin and little stream out front. It was a perfect location to explore the area with easy trolly (or drive) to Main Street Deadwood. We took a walk on the Mickleson Trail, which goes right by the cabin. On the trail we saw at least 30 bunnies, groundhogs, and even prairie dogs. It’s on the road towards Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, and all that the Black Hills has to offer. Plenty of space, we’ll appointed and decorated. Plenty of towels, and most importantly, very comfortable beds. Quiet area set against a forested hull. Great place overall!
Overall excellent staycation
Everything was clean and the most fully stocked of any VRBO i have stayed at. We saw cute bunnies and woodchucks near the property. This is a great location for everything in the northern black hills.
We enjoyed our stay so much! This lodging was the perfect fit with just the right amount of provisions. It’s located within easy access to both nature and tourism. The stay was comfortable and the communication excellent! We would do it again.
Cute cabin by a stream. Easy access to Deadwood and Lead
It was everything we expected.
No better home-base while exploring the Black Hills! Excellent proximity, but with a more secluded feel. Inside, the cabin had everything we needed and then some. All appliances and utilities were in perfect order Outside, the river is nice and the daily visits from the local deer was a bonus! Also great for morning walks on the Mickelson trail. Everything went smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Very cozy, clean and quiet. There was an issue with the water pressure but Mark is aware.
Would stay again
Hidden Gulch was the most accommodating and well-stocked of all our VRBOs! Highly recommend ***
The cabin had everything we needed. It was mostly quiet at night when we were there June 28-July 1. The little road to the cabin and the nearby storage building and trucks are not pretty. We had deer walk through in the mornings.
Driving onto the property was rougher than we thought it would be. Overall we had a good time with a little hiccup. Hiccup being water pressure was low and we needed to plunge the toilet.
Clean Quiet Homey Comfortable A lot of activities to do in the area
