We offer optional, additional services that have additional fees: Extra Guest Fee (Overnight and Day Use), Pet Fee. These need to be agreed upon and paid three days prior to your arrival and receipt of your unique access code. Only paid guests (Overnight / Day Use) are allowed on the property at all times.
* Extra guest fees:
Overnight Guests Fee: the base nightly price for the property includes four (4) overnight guests. If you are bringing additional overnight guests (up to 20 overnight on this property) we do charge an additional $70 per person per night for all guests staying after 10:00pm. If you enter the accurate number of guests staying overnight during the booking process, it will automatically calculate those guests into the nightly price and the platform will collect the money. However, if you need to make changes after the booking process, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can refund or charge you according to the changes. This must be settled three days prior to your arrival. If not settled before the 3 days and you suddenly have “additional guests” without notifying us, we will charge you a “Drop-In” guest fee of $100 per night, per person. This additional fee can and will be charged within 14 days after you departure, as we sometimes have to provide evidence to the platforms through pictures and video evidence (ring camera footage) of the “non paid for” or “drop-in” additional overnight guests.
Day Guest Fee: if you are planning to host additional guests during the day, we do charge a days fee for lunch/dinner. Please inquire.
* Pet Fee: We do charge a pet fee of $250 per pet for the duration of the stay. This fee does NOT cover us picking up after your pet. We do ask that you pick up after your pets or we will be forced to charge you a "Pet Cleanup" fee of $50 per “mess.” This additional fee can and will be charged within 14 days after you departure, as we sometimes have to provide evidence to the platforms through pictures and video evidence (ring camera footage) of the “non cleaned up mess” of your pets.
* Pool Heating Fee: The initial cost is $450 for the first day as it is a propane heater - Check In day (takes about 12 hours to reach 80f) and then $300 per day thereafter (about 8 hours of heating a day) if you return the pool cover nightly. Once agreed upon and paid (at least 3 days prior) we will pre-heat the pool for your arrival.
* In-Ground Spa Heating Fee: The spa heating cost is $50 per day as it is a propane heater - We do have a smart meter on the propane and a camera on the pool/spa heating equipment to ensure that heating of the in-ground spa is correctly done. Once agreed upon and paid (at least 3 days prior) we will pre-heat the pool for your arrival.
* Hosted Home / On-Site Security 24/7.
* No Fireworks or wood burning firepits on premises even outside, due to Extreme Fire Hazard - $2500 fine
*Absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind the property. NOT YOU OR YOUR GUEST. NOT INSIDE AND NOT OUTSIDE. If we find any evidence such as video footage, cigarette butts even ashes we will and do charge a $2000 fee for violation of this policy.
* The front entry driveway gate must remain closed during your stay (even when you are occupying the house). This is part of the pool fencing security requirement that is enforced by the County of Riverside. Any violation and associated fees written by code enforcement during your stay for the gate been left open will be passed on to you the guest. Make sure to close the gate at all times.
* Please Note: the accurate number of overnight guests and day use guests, pool heating fees, pet fees, and so on, MUST be settled upon and paid three days prior to your check in date and your receipt of the unique access code. We do monitor the property through use of OUTDOOR-ONLY cameras on the front door and in the backyard, as well as Noiseaware for decibel noise levels.
* We also need to know the accurate number of vehicles that will be parking to ensure our Security Service is notified of your presence.
* We do not meet you during the check-in process, so to ensure that you understand the use of all amenities and that everything is 100% to your satisfaction we will have you conduct a self check-in process and then sign and leave outside our self check-in form. This is REQUIRED by our insurance company.
* We do require that you be 26 years of age or older and that you have read and signed our Vacation Rental Agreement at least three days prior to your arrival. This is located on our website calivrmanagement or Mobile App (Search Cali V R B O LLC). It does require that you create a separate login account and that you enter your information which will then be automatically added to your Vacation Rental Agreement.

*We do require that ALL vacation renters provide a credit card for the security/damage deposit “Hold.” Much like a hotel, we will NOT charge your credit card but simply place a $1000 hold on your credit card upon your check in to the vacation rental. Once you check out and there are no damages or other charges the funds will be released. You will be required to provide the credit card number while completing your Vacation Rental Agreement.
* If paying by credit card, the CARD MUST BE IN THE RENTER’S NAME/THE GUEST SIGNING THE CONTRACT (NO EXCEPTIONS). The renter must sign this agreement and must submit a Government ID that matches the name on the credit card. We CANNOT ACCEPT third-party payments.
* The property is located in an area that gets plenty of sun. If you turn off the pool/spa pump breaker, the pool /spa will go cloudy/green very quickly, so please, DO NOT TURN OFF THE BREAKERS.We will bill you $1000 for tampering with the pool/spa pump for pool or spa breakers.
* The pool/spa do get used heavily and, therefore, we do our best to keep up with cleaning and shocking to keep the water clear. However, this can only be done during the period when previous guests leave and new guests arrive. We cannot guarantee the clarity of the water. If that is your primary reason for renting a vacation rental then DO NOT RENT THIS VACATION RENTAL. We will not refund you in part or in full for a cloudy pool/spa. You are renting a vacation rental, not a pool or spa.
* All amenities and appliances, such as the pool, spa, BBQ, fire pit, games, WIFI, kitchen appliances, and so on, are ALL COMPLEMENTARY. If one or more are not functioning, we cannot and will not refund you your money or ANY portion.
* Pests. Rattlesnakes have been seen basking on the pool deck and stretched out right in front of the front door, several times a year. This vacation rental is located in Southern California which is rattlesnake natural territory. Beware that rattlesnakes may be under the pool furniture or other places that Guests may enjoy hanging out there, too. Therefore children under age 5 and pets are not recommended to stay at this house, due to no fence around the pool, and rattlesnake and coyote risks to pets are naturally inherent to this remote awesome location.
As the pictures show, the home is beautiful! The home was booked for 7 of us ladies to use while celebrating two birthdays. We found ourselves equally enjoying the inside dining room, the outside patio, the game room (ping pong and pool), and kitchen. In fact, the house was selected with the huge kitchen in mind, knowing many hours would be spent in there just chatting. The house is located with beautiful views all around and is within reasonable distance of the wineries. The only issue we had was with the front door lock and none of us knowing how to use it, and some difficulty in finding light switches. The host, Debra, was very responsive to my calls and explained out to use the door lock to us and where to find the switches/plugs. Debra went out of her way to provide lists of restaurants for us to consider, and gave tips on getting around Temecula to avoid traffic, and to get groceries on the way to the house! Time saver! My only recommendation for improvement would be for the master bedroom to have curtains or shutters on the windows. We made due with draping extra bedsheets for privacy. (We come from the city where everyone has curtains!) I would recommend Dazzling Dawn to anyone and would not mind returning for another trip down the road.
We had a wonderful family vacation. The pool and spa were a plus. House was clean and kitchen was well equipped. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely stay again!
House was so spacious and perfect for a reunion. Pool didn’t work, but they were working on a fix
The property is prettier than the pictures. The house is spacious and the kitchen is very well stocked. We all really enjoyed staying there. My only suggestion would be some window treatments in the master bedroom and also by the dining table.
We all enjoyed this large spacious home with it's amazing outdoor area and vistas. The home had a large, nicely equipped kitchen with the best ice maker. We had everything we needed to cook for our large group. All the beds were firm and very comfortable. We would enjoy staying again. We were a family of 11 adults and 1 infant that were in for a family wedding. Everything worked well for us.
Overall enough room everyone. The sofa in main room was dirty, and the propane tank was empty. Other then that, nice property.
I am a little surprised no one mentioned the last mile to the house is a dirt road. Don't wash your car before you come! The house is situated on the hilltop with fantastic views from the pool and deck area. The outdoor seating areas are spacious and comfortable. We roamed around as the sun moved and always found a nice shady area to sit in. The pool was warmed by the sun. No need to pay extra for heating this time of year. The house is spacious and comfortable with a very large and nicely equipped kitchen. The refrigerator is huge and has the best ice maker I've seen in a rental house. Plenty of ice at all times. Beds were comfortable, AC worked great (it was 100 degrees one of the days we were there). We had a couple of problems when we checked in. The internet had been disconnected and there were some issues with the lights and ceiling fans (possibly caused by the previous disgruntled renters?). Debra came right over and got us reconnected. The one issue she could not resolve was minor and the handyman came over the next morning to fix it. It's a beautiful house (looks just like the pictures) and we would be happy to stay there again.
Debra was a great host Great Pool
The property is beautiful, but the owners are not willing to maintain it, which is known to the management company. First, the property DOES NOT sleep 20. The space sleeps 15 with one additional couch and a few air mattresses, one of which was broken (we did not check all of them). The refrigerator is broken and stops cooling. This is known to the owners, but according to the property manager, they refuse to replace it. The manager was nice enough to drop off coolers and ice, but the coolers were dirty and came with no plugs so they leaked everywhere. Ultimately, the coolers couldn’t hold all of the food and supplies needed to feed 18 people for 4 days. Due to food safety, we had to discard much of our food and all of the leftovers at the expense of the group. For most, the wifi was spotty at best. It would cut out regularly and was incredibly slow. This made it impossible to use the VRBO app and difficult to contact the property manager. Many guests used their phones as wifi hotspots to work remotely on Friday, at their personal expense. The main bathroom smelled like swamp gasses, probably due to the septic tank. The above ground jacuzzi was broken (which was known from reading previous reviews, but still disappointing). They require a credit card to be submitted with the check-in form which exists outside of the VRBO ecosystem and seems to violate VRBO policies. We were told that none of our concerns were to be addressed and we received no refund for our troubles.
We had a wonderful stay. The location and property are immaculate and the check in process was very smooth. Our group had a great time, will definitely be coming back!
Temecula is beautiful and invites you to relax which we did. A good time was had by all who joined us.
Beautiful home, beautiful area, clean and amazing views Debra was great and took care of all our needs immediately. Our family enjoyed every. minute. The only negetive was the cost to heat the pool and the hot tub was broken.
This house was a dream!!! The host was amazing and very helpful! Our group of 13 women had everything we needed and more to celebrate a fun weekend away! The wineries are just a few minutes away. I will definitely return and rent this home if I can!
We had an amazing time staying at the property. Views were great. There was a lot of space for all our guests and everyone was amazed by this property. chefs kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything you might need too cook for a large group. The only advice I can give you if when booking you’re not sure about final count of guests start with your minimum and then Add more. We did it all the way around and VRBO did not reduce their fee later.
