D & D Retreat - Quiet Neighborhood!

Would for sure stay here again.

The kitchen was lacking tongs, potato peeler was too dull to use. Kitchen chairs were very uncomfortable for us older folk.

Overall our experience renting the home on Elliot lane was exceptional. The host was easy to engage with and provide ver ckear and conscise detail about the rental property. The home was well stocked for for cooking; the beds were comfortable ajd the location was fantastic -quiet street; but so close to town and haystack rock. We have absolutely no complaints

Our stay was fine until the internet service was canceled by the owners according to the internet company. We were watching the baseball playoffs in the evening when it suddenly went off and our phones also ceased having internet service. It never was resolved. The property managers claimed service in the area was down, however neighbors had service and do did local businesses near the property. Service was never restored so it doesn’t seem like that was the problem. It was very disappointing to us that neither the property managers nor the owners never checked back with us on this issue nor fixed the issue.

This is a charming cottage on a quiet street within 2 blocks of Hemlock the main street through town, and an easy walk to Cannon Beach and Haystack rock. The beds are really comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook - we do. But the house is also only about 2 blocks from Pelican Brewery.We arrived to find welcoming gifts and they send the door code ahead of time. We had a few small problems (loud screeching closet door, batteries out in gas fire remote) and the handyman was over within hours.

We stayed for a week at D & D Retreat and really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Dog friendly with a welcome basket for your pet including towels and blankets and a treat. Short drive into the town and Pelican Brewing is only a 3 minute walk away so you can enjoy nice meals and a drink there without worrying about driving. The nearest access to the beach is about a 5 minute walk up hill and there’s a lot of steps to contend with down to the beach, but if you walk towards the town you will find easier ramp access. Only issue we had at the house was the wifi was spotty and slow at times but not a major problem for us. Overall a great stay and would book with Beachcomber rentals again.

Our family stayed here July 14-21, 2024. Check in was easy, house was clean and had everything we needed. The location was awesome because it was walking distance to restaurants, shops and beach, but separated enough so there was no noise or traffic. We enjoyed the peaceful backyard and would definitely stay here again.

Walking distance to the beach and Haystack, this is a great Cannon Beach getaway. Super quiet, nice fenced backyard for our little pups, and a fireplace to take off the chill.

Great location for a walk to the beach or into town. Nice quiet neighborhood. Well appointed kitchen, good beds, very clean. We loved sitting out on the back deck- very peaceful and a peekaboo view of the sunset. We will stay here again when we come to Cannon Beach.
