Pros: The house was in a comfortable neighborhood close to the airport and easily able to get downtown. The decor was nice and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we would need. The host even provided some snacks and water. The host was easy to get a hold of. Cons: Property had a pungent odor that smelled like must and sewage mostly in the bottom level. Making the extra living room and downstairs bathroom unusable. We even bought candles and febreeze to try to get rid of the odor but it didn't really help. The bed in the back bedroom was unstable and made alot of noise when rolling over or moving. It was not a comfortable bed to sleep in. There was a massive roach in the bottom tv room, that we had to catch and dispose of along with several smaller dead roaches in various locations throughout the house. The water was sporadically hot causing several of us to have to take cold showers. It was directly under a flight path which didn't bother us but could be loud for others.
This home suited our family well for our trip to Charleston. We were in town to see the Dave Matthews Band on Daniel Island and it was about a 30 minute drive to Credit One Stadium (including traffic). When we returned from the concert, the home/location was nice and quiet for our tired selves. The home is obviously older but many modern updates had been made and it was very clean and extremely spacious. We are low maintenance and so didn't need anything while we were there but the owner was very responsive when we did communicate. We would 100% recommend this place.
In town for a graduation at the Coliseum and this house was perfect for our stay. Very clean, plenty of space, lots of extra goodies in case you forgot something, and a very quiet neighborhood. Also close to all the tourist areas as well, so we were able to take advantage of some fun after graduation. Would definitely recommend.
This house was great - very clean, organized, easy to find and easy for ride sharing. There was a sitting room and two living rooms with large TV’s. We were able to have a streaming TV and a Gaming TV for hanging at the house. Only complaint was that there was a slightly musty/mildewy smell that was easy to get used to and didn’t linger on us, but was noticeable upon re-entering the house.
House was satisfactory and just what we needed for a 3 day weekend. Host was quick to respond to requests. Would stay again.
We came to Charleston to see my Nephew who attends The Citadel for his recognition ceremony. The house is small, but certainly big enough for 5, or 6 people to enjoy for a short stay. Some of the charm is in the maturing state of the home. It does have some modern patches while retaining it's nostalgic feel. It felt a lot like a trip to my grandparents house 40 years ago, and that made me happy. It's located in a mostly quiet neighborhood, a few blocks in from the nearest busy street, and within a 15 minute drive of most anything you would want to see or do in Charleston. Everything from the furniture, to the bathrooms, fixtures, bedrooms, kitchen and living areas was in excellent shape, and functioned well. The TV's were easy to navigate, and the wifi signal was strong. Thank you for your hospitality.
Nice area didn't like no curb appeal.
Located in a nice quiet neighborhood not too far from Downtown, West Ashley and Mt. Pleasant. Looks exactly like the photos too! The house was beautiful-nothing fancy but very well put together and clean. My family was comfortable during their stay. Thanks for hosting us!
This was a beautiful home. The owner was very prompt and I would highly recommend!
With our youngest son 1st year in the Navy at NNPTC and our other son a senior in college in FL we were looking for a house that could accommodate us. Thankfully we came across the Cute & Cozy listing and found it to be a perfect meeting point for our family's Thanksgiving. House was perfect, location was close enough to everything we needed, and the host was super responsive. Not sure what next year's holiday season will bring, but Cute & Cozy will be our go to if we are back in the area. BTW - we added quite a few corks to the collection!
For a first time vacation in Charleston we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Reasonably priced and had everything we needed for a 1 week stay. With it be located in North Charleston it put us centrally located for the areas we wanted to see. (Downtown Charleston, Magnolia Plantation, Folly Beach, Tanger Outlet and HL Hunley) Don't miss out on this hidden gem. LaKasha was great to work with and very responsive if we had any questions. We will keep the Cute & Cozy on our list if we ever go again or have friends and relatives who would like to go and stay in Charleston. Craig & Charlene S.
This was a nice stay for my group. No real issues. Has a slight musty smell but only when first entering. I would stay here again. Very clean!!!
