There was more space than we expected. Our daughters enjoyed the loft, kayaks, waterboards, bikes & hot tub. There was easy lake access for the kayaks right before the curve down the street.
The hot tub was great! Perfect location to drive to the beach or to go to some shops.
Cozy enjoyable stay for my family.
Place is larger than the pictures give it justice. Back yard was pretty private, and hot tub was very nice. Only reason for 4 stars overall was because of the floor transition in the kitchen. My hubby and child tripped over it too many times to count. But the place is awesome, and shall we ever stay in Cadillac again, we would try to book this place.
The house was as advertised with great proximity to the lake, kayaks and paddle boards, bikes, hot tub and playground for the kids. We stayed for eight days and they came to make sure the hot tub was still clean mid week. Communication was great with plenty of notice when they were coming to maintain the hot tub and cut the grass. We will stay again next summer.
This is a great place for a family to stay. There was a backyard that our grandson enjoyed playing in. Because it was not right on the water, we didn't have to worry about him getting into the lake. I will book this place again when we stay in Cadillac.
We enjoyed staying and the property is across the street from the lake, short walk to launch the kayak or stand up paddle board.
Renting this house was perfect! There was plenty of room and having two bathrooms both with showers was great. The decor is tastefully done inside the house, and everything was very clean when we arrived. The deck, hot tub, grill and fire pit were well used during our stay. The neighbors were kind of close, but they were quiet, so it was a very peaceful Memorial weekend. The stores and restaurants were close which was nice, so we didn't have travel far. I would not hesitate to rent there again; I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay in Cadillac.
We stayed here as a family of four and had a great time. The backyard was PERFECT for our little one! Our teenager loved having his own bathroom and the entire upstairs. Only complaints would be some cleanliness issues. We found two used glasses on the table upstairs and some minor cleaning issues. Overall, I would definitely stay again! The property is huge and a great price. Super close to town too!
I rented the cottage to spend time with my son and his family. We had two toddlers, and they LOVED the playground area on the property. It was perfect for our trip. The cottage was small yet spacious and having to 2 bathrooms was wonderful! Would definitely stay here again.
Went to see my daughter at college we had a great time and this place was perfect for us, cute and cozy! Will definitely be looking into it again!!!!
I rented this property this fall for some training at the markman's ship training center in lake City. This property was perfect. It suited our needs. The property is clean and easy to find, with great location near everything but far enough away to feel like you're in the country. The spa was well maintained and it will come stress reliever at the end of the day. The on site washer and dryer were a nice addition.
Nice place to stay with the family.
Great place to stay. Would stay there again.
Our family of 5 plus grandma stayed here for 4 nights. The property listing is spot on. Best things about the stay: play set for the kids, hot tub, kayaks and paddle boards& location near the lake. Quiet neighborhood but the cars drive fast on the road so watch little ones. Back yard space was amazing, some sand for the kids, enough area to throw the ball & a jungle gym! Hot tub worked great. However, the cabin is older, no AC and has some plumbing issues. We noticed if you ran the washing machine you didn’t have any other water. Or the outside hose. There was cable TV but we only had a handful of stations. Kinda a bummer when you want to chill out at night. A few other minor things but not worthy of mention.
Great place to stay with great amenities, nicely decorated and very clean.
First, our standard criteria: Wifi - Yes, perfect, no complaints. Stranger Things was streamed, teens were talking to friends, excellent. Coffee - Both k-cup and drip pot with starter packs so excellent. Pets - N/A no pets this time Space (away from each other) - Excellent. There was actually some jealousy over who gets the loft room. We loved our stay! We are a family of four but you certainly could have had a couple more kids / adults. The cabin was insanely cute and everything worked perfectly. There are two living room / common areas with television and seating, plus plenty of outdoor seating so we could be all together or separate as needed. This family LOVES a hot tub and made use of it. Also there was a great spot for a hammock in the back yard. There were plenty of towels, including beach towels. We made use of the loaner fat-tire bikes and SUP. The Lake Mitchell accesses are just a short walk and its a great lake to put in. BUT these are sturdy watercraft like you would get at a rental so they are going to be HEAVY. Which is exactly what you want in a VRBO because you want it to be there (and not broken) when you rent but just remember that when you are heading out the door in flip flops. Maybe put on some water shoes or sneakers and leave them on the park bench while you paddle. If you are familiar with the area you probably already know this but central air is NOT standard because there aren't many truly HOT days. You solve this with window fans at night (there were plenty) then closing the blinds in the day. There were plenty of window and table fans so we were very comfortable on the hot days but there were plenty of blankets for the cold nights. And we learned that loon calls are LOUD! What a pleasant surprise. We give the Bear Cabin 10/10 unicorns.
The house was nice for our family. All amenities worked and all the fans in the house helped to keep it cool. The back yard playground kept my grandson happy all week plus the nice big yard. The hot tub was used about every night by the adults. The only downfall on the whole trip was the traffic on the road which is no fault of the owner. 25mph road and cars do not go anywhere that speed. Other than that great place to enjoy your vacation
Owner very helpful. Nice area. Found it hard to push cart with Kayaks and boards to the water, need more muscle but once there nice place to kayak.
Our second time here. Always a pleasure. Thanks for having us.
We had a lovely time. The loft room was perfect for our daughter & to put our extra pack n play in for the baby. (The stairs were a bit steep so if you have littles I’d suggest bringing along a baby gate)Would be perfect for older kids too. The hot tub was wonderful after the kids went to bed & the swing set and fire pit was perfect for outdoor activity during the day/evenings. The house was clean & had a lot to offer. The house is close to town and right by the lake. Unfortunately we had a cold rainy weekend but made the most of it and did lots of fishing. Would come back again!
