Cute Beach Cottage with Ocean Views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I HAVE OWNED AND OPERATED A COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION BUSINESS FOR 18 YEARS AND ALWAYS MADE SURE THE COTTAGE WAS WELCOMING AND COMFORTABLE FOR MY GUESTS - A FIRE ON IN THE WINTER OR AIR CON IN THE SUMMER.BUT OUR ARRIVAL IN THE COTTAGE ON THIS VERY HOT DAY WAS STIFLING. NOT ONE WINDOW OPEN OR AN AIR CON RUNNING. MY HUSBAND IS VERY HEALTHY FOR HIS AGE BUT I HAVE A HEART CONDITION AND BOTH OF US COULD NOT STAY IN THE COTTAGE. WE TURNED ON THE AIR CONS BUT THE ONE IN THE LOUNGE ROOM WAS JUST THROWIING OUT NORMAL AIR ON THE COLDEST TEMP SETTING. WE WERE TOLD THE AIR CON WAS DUE FOR REPAIRS BUT IT IS AN OLD ONE AND SHOULD BE COMPLETELY REPLACED NOT REPAIRED.WE SAT OUTSIDE FOR A FEW HOURS BUT THE COTTAGE WAS NOT COOLING DOWN AND MY HEART WAS SUFFERING SO WE LEFT AT ABOUT 5PM AND DROVE BACK HOME.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the park next door to the ocean view through the trees when sitting on the front deck, this home is perfectly located. With an off dog beach not far away, we were so happy to also bring our dog with us! The beach at Woodgate is spectacular and we enjoyed several walks on it each day. The house itself is comfortable and the rennovation is good. Although there were only 3 stairs from the kitchen/dining area to the lounge and bathroom, I found them a little steep due to a chronic back condition. However, for generally fit people, this would not be a problem at all. We had a lovely time and hope to be back. The bathroom was on the small side but I believe the owners are considering a bathroom renovation. The kitchen was well equipped.

Very clean.. nice linen, big fridge and large deck for drinks and breakfast. Great week away. Definitely recommend.
