We had a great time. This property is close to Hayward and many amenities, restaurants, etc. Dock was very nice. One suggestion on that would be too line it with bumpers. We spent a lot of time on the back porch. Used the fire table several times as well. We went to Pine Ridge Restaurant on Stone Lake which was awesome. And Angler's Resort for pizza, equally awesome.
Large welcoming home. Comfortable beds, good water pressure, kitchen adequate for family meals. The screen porch was amazing as was the long porch of rockers. Had no clue how to turn off lights on the stairs at night but I think that’s by design.
We enjoyed our stay! Beautiful lake. Great communication with host. Would definitely recommend.
Had the best week with friends and family. The house was great! Host was super responsive with any questions we had.
My family and I had a wonderful stay. We have 3 kids (6,4,2yrs old) and they loved it. The water level at the end of the dock is about 2feet so made it easy with the older 2 to not have to worry. Dawn was great to talk with for questions. House was perfect in size and the bunk room for the kids with ease. The lake is beautiful and very clean. Top to bottom was a great vacation!
This huge log-cabin home was perfect for our crew of family and friends skiing and working at the Birkie.
We stayed over Christmas and the Cabin was beautifully decorated. Nice people to work with.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. 2 families with 4 adults and 7 kids ages 3 - 13. Plenty of space in the house for all of us to spread out. Amazing back porch to sip coffee on in the morning and your favorite beverage in the evening. The lake frontage is perfect. Enough space to see the lake and enough trees to keep it private. We rented kayaks and a pontoon boat. The lake is very shallow by the dock which is nice for getting in and out of kayaks and paddle boards. However, we had to be very careful with the pontoon boat propeller. Once we got to know the lake it was perfect. We tubed in the deep water and played on the sandbars. Great fishing as well. Even on the weekend there were not many other boats on the lake. The owners were very responsive and easy to get a hold of. The house had everything we needed to start our vacation. There is a great grocery store and Walmart 15 minutes away to replenish supplies. We cooked and grilled several nights. Had the utensils we needed and a nice gas grill. We went to several nearby restaurants as well. We saw multiple eagles. Heard loons every night and saw them on the lake as well. Also saw deer and foxes. There were some minor issues but we still loved the house and our stay. I would stay again regardless of the issues and I would recommend for others. Minor issues: Bathrooms with pedestal sinks and minimal counter space made it difficult for lots of people and small children to use. I recommend replacing with simple sinks with counters. Kitchen layout was a little awkward and oven too small for the amount of people we had staying at the house. Too many fragile knick knacks on the tables.
