The view of the strait into Canada was so majestic and peaceful. We were able to see sunrise over Mt Baker and watch the ships and sailboats go by. It’s a wonderful place to stay. It’s also clean, with a cozy atmosphere inside. We would love to visit again!

We had a great time at the property. The view is unbeatable, the neighborhood is quiet, and the house is charming. We spent our time checking out the sights, watching for whales, and cheering on the Lefties. Thank you for a great stay!!!

I really loved the inviting feeling of the house. They had things that wouldn’t have anticipated (1) menu of nearby restaurants so you can order from (2) set of board games, and jigsaw puzzles (3) instructions such as wifi password and others. (4) a nice set of binoculars in the ground floor (5)a beautiful monocular (portable terrastrial telescope) on the top floor. (6) childrens get away ladder from top floor through window. Both rooms were well kept and well plenty of space for two solo travellers. For larger groups single bathroom may be a constraint to consider. The view to the port was amazing and accompanied a private sit out area. I had my tripods and camera there for a while getting some nice photos. Even when sitting from sofa all these are visible. Not visible from the dining table though, we both almost never used sofa and would have preferred view on that side. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils you need for cooking. I couldn’t find pepper though but i found small sachets to substitute. The laundry is kept far enough to not bother you with sound. But we didnt use except for the towels on check out. Only complaint is perhaps wifi was not working. If I wasn’t your typical network geek fixing thar would have been non trivial. If you run into same issue - just restart the motorola modem (not wifi one) behind the tv by plugging out and back in. There is enough parking for two cars, we only needed one.

The place was super cute and right in the middle of a lovely small town. Near enough to bigger stores if you need to get anything not available in town. It was clean, however the one issue I wish we would have known before was that there is a bad ant problem. They make sure you know once you are there, but it would have be nice to know ahead of time. Other than that, truly no complaints and would love to stay there again.

This house has a major problem with ants and has a very bad musky smell. The house also has only one very old bathroom. I would not recommend this house to anyone. It has only a view. Luckily we use the house only to sleep.

Lovely location. So many incredible nature experiences to be enjoyed within a 2 hour radiance. (I would highly recommend replacing the mattress and pillows in the downstairs bedroom.)

We were visiting from Hawaii to celebrate my husband's 50th. Thanks for the nice cozy place with a beautiful view. It has a central location to drive to all the places in the park. Leaving the spirit of aloha with this place!

We really like most everything about this house. The only issue that we noticed was that the online listing stated that it sleeps 6. There are only 3 actual beds; two queen sized beds and one single. We brought an inflatable bed so it worked out for us but it might be a problem for others.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crow's Nest. Not only was the house clean and comfortable, but the views of the water were breathtaking. Our host gave us excellent advice on where to eat, resources for hiking and activities in the national park and how to find parking for the ferry to Victoria. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.

The house was cozy and perfect for our family of four. You are just minutes from the town center and the Olympic National Park visitor center. You also have great views of the water and on a clear day can see Mount Baker. We will stay here again when we come back to the area.

No issues with property, access or management. Clean and comfortable. Layout worked great for us with 2 teenage girls - there were 2 small rooms upstairs and they took those for themselves. We took the downstairs bedroom. The one small bathroom proved adequate for our trip with a little coordination. Views were beautiful - big picture windows looking out over the strait. You could just barely see Victoria Canada on a clear day as you watched the ships go by. Port Angeles has some decent restaurants and is located right where you want to be for Olympic National Park. The Hoh Rain Forest was a trek (2 hours) but Hurricane Ridge is nearby. This cottage was also a 5-minute drive from the ferry to Victoria. The day trip over to Victoria was a trip highlight. There is a Safeway 10 minutes away and a little convenience store/gourmet coffee shop (Higher Grounds) I'd recommend for all coffee shop things and light groceries less than a 15-minute walk away and a very short drive. If you google earth the area, you'll see the lot across the street looks a little ragged. A defunct car, some assorted junk. It was fine. The neighborhood has a solid working class feel, not a sketchy feel. Turned out among the assorted stuff in the lot was a chicken coop and you could buy fresh eggs out of a stand next to the road on the honor system which was cool.

My husband and I love the PNW and visit the area yearly. We usually go to Orcas Island but decided to try something on the mainland. This cottage has all the amenities of home and is very comfortable. I enjoyed watching the sun come up from the Gazebo each morning. Cute spot will keep on our list for a re-visit!
