Cozy Upscale Getaway - Fantastic Location

Thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay in this one-bedroom suite. Although technically in Gibsons, we felt like we were in the middle of the forest and more like in Roberts Creek - the grounds are peaceful and beautiful. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen set-up contained enough equipment for creating and BBQing simple meals, including mini-fridge with small freezer compartment that worked to keep our ice packs frozen, a portable induction element, microwave, and toaster oven. We enjoyed being able to watch our own shows from home in the evening on the big smart TV. The queen bed was comfortable and the bedroom had plenty of plugs for charging our devices. Loved the walk out to the patio and propane grill. Lovely to sit and listen to the birds with a glass of wine.   We recommend this accommodation and hope it will be available on our next trip to the Sunshine Coast.

Great little place . Very cozy and relaxing place to get away from everthing but at the same time close enough to grocery store and places to eat.

[9/10] Clean apartment. Great living area, very spacious, even with the pool table. Lovely design all around. Small kitchen area. The bathroom is awesome. All apliances working perfectly. Host is polite, and gave us some tips about the city.

The unit was a basement unit with poor sunlight during the day. The bedding was washed but with a super strong odor. The sofa bed in the living space had a strong odor too. Location is a bit hard to find. Plus side, the bath room is fairly clean and upgraded. Pool in the living space is great. Other renters are quiet.

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the place was quiet and dark allowing us to sleep in. The bathroom was very nice with a great steam shower. There was a patio with a barbecue. On the negative side, the directions were poor and Google Maps did not get us there. Fortunately the host called when we didn’t arrive when expected and directed us in. Our initial impression of the property was not good as the grass was not cut and the property looked unkempt. The sheets were not fresh smelling when we arrived. There was only a very heavy duvet on the bed with no top sheet. We did find other sheets and a lighter blanket thrown (not folded) in the closet and these required laundering. Fortunately there was a clean insuite laundry. There were also no sheets to fit the pullout although the ad said the property sleeps 4. We found a dirty frying pan in the drawer and the knives were very dull. Overall, we would rate it a 6/10.

The bed was very comfortable so slept well.

Property not as private as what we imagined. Suite is downstairs from owner with the stairs blocked off. There is a rental in the front, which you share a wall with and they have the front part of the house. Sandwich in the middle you can sit out as everyone using the property walks by. Walk to the beach is also fairly far. Would have thought it was closer

Great property, even better host! Rae has a beautiful home which he loves and has many great stories to share. Would recommend the stay.

Great location and our granddaughter loved coming over to play pool. Discovered a bit about myself - while I love nesting and being cozy at home I need more light. Having said that we did sleep in without guilt as it was quiet and cozy.

The name and location for this place is entirely justified based on my family’s experience. Awesome place to stay and pool table was a wonderful addition. My son loved this additionWe highly recommend this place.

Loved the morning visits by the deer and fawn

Myself and my brother had a wonderful time at Rae’s suite. He met us outside the property and showed us the place. Rae is very friendly and a great host. Location is good and it’s nice and quiet. We loved the pool table. Definitely recommend.

Calling this upscale is a stretch. Was unfinished in places (holes in ceiling, wires haning out of the wall, furniture was rough). Not a kitchenette nor vehicle electrical charging station as described under amenities. Disappointed and not as decribed.
